Saw him open for clutch in 04 or 05 and have listened to him ever since

Rips my heart out with every song, and I will NOT stop listening. Sickens me that he isn't world famous with a gazillion views. This man's talent astounds me, daily.... Because I listen to him daily. Absolutely my favorite artist, EVER. Thank you for sharing, and please keep sharing. William Elliot Whitmore has more talent in his little finger than any other artist I have heard in 20 years, he's made me a listener in music that was never my genre at all. LOVE LOVE LOVE

If you get the chance, see him live. I first saw him opening for The Pogues many years ago, and not only does he sound incredible and come across as super friendly, but he could've easily done that show in front of 1,500 people with no mic. I don't know where the power in his voice comes from, but it's genuinely stunning live. And he somehow even sighs at just the right moment in his darker songs, almost to let you know that he might still be touching the wounds that made him write some of them.

My parents had this on my mp3 player as a kid and I just finally came back after going down a rabbithole of old songs. This one always got to me.

This needs 1 million more likes... One of the most heart wrenching songs ever recorded. 20 years on and Will never gets the recognition he so very much deserves. This is just...sigh...so glad he played it tonight. Never has the impact that this earliest recording does, though, but still good to hear it again. Thanks so much for uploading it. 💜

If music like this was popular within youth today, I believe we would have a better society...

Bass Trammel That's very true... I am part of this youth btw, when I wrote this comment I was really just losing hope in my generation, but only time will tell.

Every generation of all time has felt this, so don't worry. humankind has survived for quite a while.

+Bobo Ayame I don't think I'm born in the 'wrong' generation necessarily, and I don't think being young and liking a song gives you superiority or proves you're a high IQ rick and morty viewer or some shit. Listen and do whatever you want- that shouldn't be what defines you. But I do believe most of my generation is disgusting in a different way than other generations (even though maybe not worse) and I do agree that if they were more peaceful, and more sad (not blindly depressed) people- they'd be better off and so would the whole world.

The reason I'm awake thru the night is the death of my son. On March 23, 2011 he was murdered; he was 35 yrs old. Life is only clouds of darkness for me, also.

what sucks is that it'll take me 260 bucks to see him. I'll keep watching but I guarran-godam-tee you I will not pay that much to see someone that makes me think about hauling hay, brother. Watch yourself. I won't support you doing the things you sing about countering. That's not alot of money, typically. But in todays' terms, it's either all or nothing, man. Goddam, I hate that. I hate myself for typing this. But it is what it is. Ozark, Ark, 130 bucks a pass? come on man.
