How many of you actually read The Exorcist? Truly scary book, and I do not scare re the supernatural anymore. That is what made the movie so chilling.

Friedkin with the integrity here. Great stuff.

This is SO TRUE! And most directors of horror movies today dont specialize in horror. They dont pacifically make horror movies or have any real interest in it. They are just looking for the next big block buster. Also there is too much CGI in modern horror movies. I cant stand it. They think it makes it look more realistic but really it just looks fake and computerised, not natural. Horrors today lack realism AND originality. Old horror films are the best! Luckily we can always watch them.

I totally agree. I've read the book a dozen times and it still freaks me out. lol. So much more content and insight in the book. I love it!

@@kimosonogrindz Its obvious, every book is so much deeper and has way more content than any movie, Ive read other books and later watched the movie and you can't compare

3:35 Friedkin on Gabriele Amorth: "He gives exorcism a bad name". Now, this interview is of at least 6 June 2012. There is a Vanity Fair article of 6 December 2016 in which Friedkin describes his first ever encounter with Amorth, which would be 1 May 2016. There he describes Amorth completely different, in a positive way. www.vanityfair.com/hollywood/2016/10/father-amorth-the-vatican-exorcist

not all exorcisms are as severe as the one in the movie.
