What a blessing! An evangelical friend of mine asked me if I watched Mike’s video. At this stage I hadn’t. So I watched Winger’s video yesterday, and was praying to our Lord asking if William could do a video about the proto-evangelium. Incredible to see this a day later. Praise the Lord 🙏

Fruitful livestream 🙏 loved it, when a brother in Christ corrects someone else out of love, for our precious and holy mother of god. May god continue to bless you, your family, and these livestreams ❤

In first century Jerusalem, Mike wouldn’t be attending Mass. He’d be asking people where he can find the “First Baptist Church of Jerusalem”

I absolutely love and admire your candor and evangelistic methods! Round-tables and discussions are definitely a stumbling-block to online, two-way polemics. Prayer and thanksgiving - underrated preparation for sharing and defending the faith.

Thank You William for this Great session and for your Great Work , in defending THE MOTHER OF OUR GOD/LORD JESUS , BLESSED MARY , against this HERETICAL PROTESTANT PREACHER ...Mike Winger and others. He and many other Protestants , DOES NOT have the fullness of Faith due to their FALSE DOCTRINES of SOLA SCRIPTURA & SOLA FIDE. May Our Lord and His Blessed Mother , Bless You and Your Family.🙏🏻❤❤❤

Hey Will, I’m a fairly new Christian and I’m just wondering why does Mary’s perpetual virginity matter in the scheme of things? Is this a salvific argument in some way? Is it a polemical argument that has an important apologetic argument attached to it? Why can’t Jesus come from a lineage of impure people, doesn’t this just add to his humanity? I don’t know. Anyway brother I don’t want to take up too much of your time. Perhaps you can direct me to a video that answers these questions if you don’t have time to address all the questions of my comment. Blessings of the Christ be upon you.

Hey Brother; one thing to note is that Mary's perpetual virginity parallels the doctrine of her sinlessness. This was first debated as some people like Helvidius wanted to do away with clerical celibacy. And so given the widespread belief in Mary's incredible holiness... he tried To argue that she was not a perpetual virgin so clergy shouldn't have to be. Now consecrated celibacy is virtually non-existent within protestantism. In modern discourse it is mostly discussed in a polemic; with protestants trying to disprove Catholics authority structure with it. Jesus indeed did come from a lineage with many impure people in it. He is a descendant of Adam and Eve. We don't necessarily hold to Mary's immaculate conception because "it *had* to be". Rather it was *fitting*, foreshadowed, and we *genuinely* believe a truth that God wills men to know. Every Marian doctrine also has a reflection for ecclesiology and for ourselves as children and imitators of our blessed mother. Hope this helps. God bless

Since she is the New Ark of the Covenant because she had in her womb the new law, the new high priest and the new mana, she, as the Old Ark of the Covenant, has to be incorruptible. No incorruptible man can touch the place where God dwells.

@@pistum ohh that makes a lot of sense; just got through reading Samuel and Kings recently and you reminded me of a passage from one of them that tells of a mishap that happens to the Ark of the Covenant whilst it’s being transported, and one of the dudes (I think it was a friend of King David), puts his hand on it to pick it up off the ground and is struck down for touching it. So it makes sense now why Mary’s purity is important… but… why her perpetual virginity if baby Jesus no longer dwells within her?

What do you think about Mark Miravalle at Steubenville as a Mariologist?
@WilliamAlbrecht
@WilliamAlbrecht 2 күн бұрын
I like Mark and I think his Mariology is solid beginner level stuff. He has done some solid work for Priests, Deacons, etc. I think that is Mark's intended audience and he is exceptional at it. When I speak of elite level Mariologists of the present day I mean figures like Kappes, Goff, etc. Of the past you had titans like Jugie, Carol, Gambero, etc.

One of the reasons I walked away from protestantism was because I grew tired of kindergarten level apologetics and theology. Sadly, many prefer to keep drinking milk rather than move on to solid food.
