Oh, The publish thing to expose the point values!! That can be super useful for the game project whenever I’m able to continue it. If we were able to expose the points of a warp node that would be a good way to achieve some easy puppetry. But even with just segmented images would be enough. Good one William!
@WilliamJusticeMedia4 жыл бұрын
Hi, yes,, I can see having direct access to the point values being something that you could use. Its very flexible and you can really move them anywhere you want by connecting with trackers, or expressions. Having some puppet options would be great as well. Not sure if there is a way to simulate that easily right now.

@@WilliamJusticeMedia I'm pretty sure when you were tracking your forehead you should've used translation, rotation and scale vs perspective, because you're telling the tracker what you're expecting to change in the video. for eg, flying a drone through the air and looking at one building, the perspective would change as you continue to fly through the air while looking at that building. but in this case the things that are changing are rotation (your head moving) and scale (your head moving backwards and forwards ever so slightly)

@@WilliamJusticeMedia obviously I was kidding, the tracking that at sight seems easy, in reality it depends on many things that in the end make it complex, such as the resolution of the shooting, the speed of the movements, the contrast of the objects etc .. Very informative video. Instead of needing four trackers to animate a rectangle shape, I found that you can alter the Y offset of two trackers. Connect the top polygon points to the tracker1 & 2 position, then connect the lower polygon points to the tracker1 & 2 Offset Positions. Thereby essentially creating four points from only two trackers.

William, yours is one of the best explanations I’ve seen on this subject - and I’ve been looking for more advanced topics on tracking for years. I never knew about the publish feature, mainly due to my lack of looking for it. It’s easy to lose interest in fusion since it has been so buggy and crash prone in the past, very frustrating. But now that BMD is finally releasing more stable versions it’s totally worth investing more time in fusion. Keep up the the interesting and informative videos. They’re great.

How about Juggling next Time? Love it. a Tracking tutorial is also on my List of making. And you Inspired me alot for a stylish intro :) For the Stretching and contracting in the Planartracker The Planar Tracker is trying to do the same as a Cornerpin but with a Solid Shape. So it interprets the Movement Of the Tracker Dots as Movement of the Camera. It is not used to calculate the Movement of Camera and Object at the same time. Also 3D Tracking would be a better option if you have the Studio Version. This would also enable you to Overlay a Face Base Mesh onto your Face where you could draw on using UV Mapping. It is a Fun Thing to do. I love your Experiments. Keep it Up Bro! Or Sir! 😜
@WilliamJusticeMedia4 жыл бұрын
Thanks!!! I was close to doing some real juggling in this video. The original idea was to juggle some balls, track them and then draw a shape between them as they moved. BUT I thought the tracking might be tough to do... i was afraid it lose the track every time the ball went into my hand... But I may have to try that out to see if I can get it to work! I have not use the tracker much so i am trying to learn what all you can do with it. I have done very little with 3D... so don't know much about it. I do have the studio version so I probably need to start playing around with 3D and the camera tracker. Do you have any videos or links to videos that discuss a mesh and UV mapping? Would like to learn more. I know just the very basics (never actually tried it out) Thanks for the comments!

Hi William, Really good video, Thanks. About the tracking dots. Obviously, that can't stay in the final product. Could you Key out green tracking dots and get adequate results? About the tracking Points on a stick, How can you extract the final "Dancing Rectangle" and layer that On another Clip? Keep up the Good Work.
@WilliamJusticeMedia3 жыл бұрын
Hey Robert. With the tracking dots, I would probably try to place them in a place that would be covered up by whatever I am trying to attach to my head. But here are probably quite a few different ways to remove them. Might even be able to track an blank forehead on top of that or could use the paint node to paint over the dots...The rectangle would be pretty easy to overlay on another clip. Once the tracking is working you just merge the triangle on top of any clip. The source clip is only need to get the tracking points. Once you have the points, the source clip is no longer required.
