The first time i heard this song was when it first came out, but since then i forgot about it. My mom passed in 08 from cancer. It wasn't until now i've been reunited with this song. I haven't cried so hard since she passed. It reminded too much of our close relationship. But i feel better after watching this video. the chorus gets to me everytime. i imagine the chorus of this song like a parent, a mother or a father saying this to their weeping child or if their child got hurt.. same goes with the lyric and I held your hand through all of this years but you still have all of me but it could also be dedicated to a lover dying from an illness or if they are in their last days that you are hugging them to comfort them knowing that any moment they will breath their final breath

This song is beautiful. You can hear her emotion and passion. Every time I hear this song I cry. My friend and I used to sing this to each other when we were younger. Sadly, at a young age she got in a car crash and fell into a coma. Soon she passed. Every time I hear this song I remember jumping around my room and singing this with her. She was a young age of 14 and her life was taken from her. 😭❤️ I love your channel :)

evanescence was one of the first bands I fell in love with when I was young. started listening when I was 10. I'm 23 now. Gonna be 24 in less than a month. will always love evanescence. got me through a lot of painful shit.

Thank you so much for these amazing reactions(which I follow everyday). I also dealt with the pain of Anorexia from age 11 to the age of 16, but didn't get my diagnosis before turning 13. I now deal with EDNOS(eating disorder not otherwise specified) and I know all about trying to maintain/recover. Congrats on gaining weight and trying to stay healthy. It's crazy to think that Amy Lee was only 21 when this came out. When I was younger I thought she was about 30 or something, I never looked it up, and recently I found out that she's 35 years old which certainly threw me for a loop. Boggles my mind to think that back when this, Bring Me To Life, and a bunch of my other favorites of their songs came out, she was younger than I am now lol. If you haven't seen/heard it yet, I'd love to see your reaction to their song My Heart is Broken that they came out with a few years ago.

I personally recommend BTS- "Young Forever" and "Fire". They're brand new and are polar opposites that's why I can't pick just one or the other to recommend. They're both fantastic. Anyways, I feel ya on the eating disorder. I was bulemic in 2010 but I have since gotten over it and am eating much better and healthier. Stay strong!
