My family and I took a trip circling the US in 2015, Williams was a place we stayed at for a week. We went to the canyon twice (taking the train once). They also had a little old west town replica. Fantastic place indeed, thank you so much for sharing!

Sedona is a beautiful place to visit. Scottsdale (Phoenix) is one of my favorite cities. Hot however.

Did Williams and the train trip in 2020, stayed in an old-fashioned motel in downtown Williams right on RT. 66. Train ride was fun, I think kids would enjoy it. They have a “robbery” about midway. Been to the Grand Canyon twice but in cooler times of the year when less crowded. Stayed in El Tovar on my first visit to Grand Canyon, and Thunderbird Lodge when I visited again in 2022. I get nervous watching you walk on lonely stretches of town, stay safe.

We made a spur-of-the-moment trip to Grand canyon over ten years ago when my sweetie had just become an American citizen -and we wanted to celebrate! 1st time for both of us ... we left at 9 at night and we arrived at noon the next day! it was gorgeous, afterwards we drove out to the painted desert and ended up in kanab for the night and got to see Bryce and Zion in gorgeous Utah. It was March there was still some snow on the ground. Was surprised at how Alpine Northern Arizona could be. 🏔️ The West is beautiful -really enjoyed your walk around Williams and your choice of music was excellent also 👍🤠

Those aren’t car models. Those are what we call now die cast toy cars. Kinda old school but it’s there. Car models tend to be bigger and more detailed but with some brush marks or air bubbles as they are painted by hand or are air brushed. Toy cars are small and use metal as the axle of the car or have metal parts. Gas stations used to have them for the kids now not so much. The maps are accurate. My guess is that it’s trying to represent the actual cars that would have stopped at gas stations like that. The old pumps were definitely glass but the modern recreations are acrylic or plastic as they don’t actually hold real gas anymore and it lasts better in the sun. My guess is those are restoration jobs but replacing the former glass with acrylic. You can tell it was restored by the bright colors and replaced parts. Most old gas pumps are rusted and barely stand up straight. A job like that takes at least several months to get out the rust, make new metal parts, paint it up, and replace the glass with acrylic. A lot of money and man hours went into that. But it looks really nice.

The Grand Canyon is one strange place as there are weird places in there. A native village is inside there in a box canyon, weird stone gateways that natives send you too for spiritual guidance or aliens (if believed, very doubtful), trails that just are strange, and just it holds a lot of strange mysteries. The native village is nice but hard to get to as it’s so isolated. It’s a village next to a waterfall and a lake, mail has to be carried in by mule because the terrain is so rough. Those who come out usually go to Phoenix anyway for work. It’s just strange. That village however is dying out as more people are leaving for jobs in better places. Park rangers are there to help them when they are ready to leave because the terrain is so bad that guidance is really needed.

That Mobile station that you're talking about is horribly. They are the most caring loving family I have ever met in my 69 years of life. They let me keep my car there, let me use their phone when they were they offered free food and drink let me sit inside and do my paperwork while I try to reach my wife using their phone. You are a wicked person sir. Judd
