Perfect video explaining the ball count mech. I have Williams Solid N Stripes that I picked up cheap, and it was acting really strange with the ball count, at times it may play 20 balls.... lol... Anyhow doing repairs as shown in the series of three videos fixed the problem. The counter shown here is exactly the same. Thanks!

Thanks for the video. We are having an advance to player two issue as well. The advanced bonus bumpers don’t come up and the ball does not load at end of play… I’ll try this and see if that’s the cause.

Thank you sir. This helped me fix my 1966 Williams 8-Ball which was acting goofey. When in 5 ball play mode it was hit and miss how many balls you actually got, sometimes 5, sometimes 2 lol The ball in play lights were also flaky not always lighting up Cleaning the contact plate fixed everything.

I wish I saw how you took it apart, I have a Paddock machine and the race unit lap counter has the same problem. (Goes up to one lap, then stays at one lap, but resets to zero on restart)

Hi I just got my first email pinball machine it's working but I'm having trouble with the bonus points when the ball drains I have looked over all the points but am unable to locate why it will not count the points when the ball drains any information as to why would be greatly appreciated thank you great video by the way

PINBALLHELP, In pinball games the solenoids voltage is +6vdc or +12vdc mostly? because atari pinball games used +48vdc any reasons why +48vdc for the solenoids voltage?

Solenoid voltage is usually 30+ vac EM games don't usually rectify the power.

@@PinChurch yes true but AC +30volts or AC +48 volts? I'm not sure why pinball tech but they have told me that AC solenoids have less force, torque. What that means is that AC solenoids like the flippers bat hit the ball weaker compared to using DC flippers bat hit the ball hard stronger force, any reasons why Pinchurch?
