When my 92 year old mother was a young woman, she said Willie played at barn dances and bars, she said he'd be so drunk with a dirty white shirt with the sleeves rolled up to his elbows, hanging onto the piano to keep from falling off, drunk trying to sing. To this day she cantstand Willie or Mickey Gillie.
