Willie Pep was my absolute role-model when I began my own amateur boxing career in the mid-1950s (I'm 73 now). His scintillating footwork was something we all practised again and again in the gym. Willie Pep really was a boxer who very much advanced the "science of boxing" - just as Vasyl Lomachenko is doing today. Willy Pep was a quite phenomenal fighter and still one of my all-time heroes (even at my age). MsG

I Still have an autographed / signed to "Dave" by Willie Pepe who actually rented a room overnight at my grandmothers house in Hartford, C.T and my Grandfather was a Golden Glove fighter who meet Pepe in person to get the autograph signed. That was over 25 years ago!! It's only worth about $65 on ebay
