One thing I can tell you for a fact is that the "Boomers" were the ones who started the running craze. The Silent, Greatest and Older Generation never fell for that "noise", and it just goes to show another bad thing that the Boomers brought into this world. Boomers were also the ones who embraced fast food and junk food and fed that stuff to their children. That stuff didn't really exist before them, and when it did, it was actually healthier since they used beef Tallow instead of seed oil. The Boomers were also the ones who gave us Fad diets and workout routines as they tried to lose the weight they gained, not realizing it was their nutrition because they fell for the food Pyramid.

@@matane2465 Yep! Also the start of using plastic cutlery and Styrofoam and chemical-laden containers began to become a "thing" because of the Boomers. Their attitude is "Well I could wash dishes, but why bother if I don't have too!?" In the case of running, it's wear and tear on the knees mostly but it's much worse if you have a preexisting knee issues from other bad, unnatural sporting activities. The running will send it over the edge as in my case. Years of martial arts kicking in my teens developing cartilage wear, grinding and cracking sounds, and then started running in my early 20's = fucked knees by 30's. You can make an argument that squatting with/without weight load is better for knees and bone strength. Everything in moderation and in accordance with nature. Running only if you have to, in shorter bursts. Marathon running is super unnatural. The only people that get away without issues are people that litterally did nothing else and their technique is perfect + extremely low bodyweight.

Gym overall saps your test. Any of the studies on gym and test will show that test levels rise right after exercise, and fall back to baseline after.
