While I empathize with the stress you’re under, I feel you should NOT downsize too much! Your career requires a separate room for filming, editing etc. If you choose too… cool but 2 mo later, once settled, you might regret it! Philly is an OLD city. Living downtown or in the mix, expect thin walls and old foundation. You will be fine, but I encourage you to look for newer places with space. Considering a lil further out might be a better bang for your buck. New foundations means new plumbing and electricity!!Transportation there is great and you have a car. I pray for your success in finding the perfect place to begin this new season in life.❤

I'm glad to hear that you are ok. Down south we say present and accounted for in times like these. Please don't get rid of your furniture etc. I know it's frustrating to have to move it all again to your new place, but it'll be SUPER expensive to replace. Those prices have skyrocketed since the panini (I don't think I can type the other word on YT). You can always take the janky complex to court to recoup the expenses for your movers since your place is uninhabitable. It's literally against the law for you to not have a working toilet.

Being one of the first few people on your immediate family to break generational curses (particularly financially) is exhausting. I know how you feel Will. I’m from Philly and now live in California. The amount of work that I’ve had to put in to stay afloat here and build a better life for myself is unimaginable. But at the end of the day I know I am blessed. And I can’t give up the good fight. Although Philly will always be home, I’ve just grown beyond the environment. And similar to your experience, when I was living there the apartments were terrible. I hope that you find a living situation that is suitable for you. Hang in there ❤

My best friend moved to Philly in a new apt building and it was hell for her the whole year! She had water coming up into her base boards which then had mold and water came pouring out of her recessed light from the washer breaking upstairs! They never ended up fixing either. She’s renting an older townhouse now and loves it!

Will, I went through the same thing with my last relationship. It was really heartbreaking being with someone like that and a very painful relationship to get over. But a learning experience nonetheless. Reading the book Emotionally Adult Children of Immature Parents really helped me a lot in processing that relationship, even if the target audience was children/relating to parents and not romantic relationships.

If you don’t think Philly is the best place, Look for apartments in Jersey, Imma give you some good ones,: Chalet Gardens, The Mansions, Glen Eyre, Lincoln Court, Cedarbrook, and Kingsgrow all at least 25 mins from Philly… Wish you the best and happiness in life❤❤❤❤

unless you're looking at South Jersey, NJ is WAY more expensive with no better quality! I'd try apartments in other parts of Philly (Roxborough, Manayunk) or towns just outside Philly.

I've been doing the same re-programming in terms of my hair for awhile now. Although I'm not 1000% where I want to be with my hair, not treating it as something negative and becoming more comfortable with how it looks (even if I'm not outside with it yet!) has been so helpful for my self-esteem. It's been difficult to realize what's been conditioned in my mind about my hair but I'm re-working those thoughts day by day.

Hi Will! So glad to see your face, I was really worried but I didn’t wanna follow you in real life. I watched this in two parts because the heaviness on my spirit couldn’t handle seeing that on someone else as well. But as you said, you’re going to be alright and I’m touching and agreeing that I will be too. Welcome to Philly, it’s really a city of extremes for me. I had my lowest lows and highest highs there. The people are generally amazing, the infrastructure is absolutely abhorrent. They are in the midst of a gentrification boom, and the paper mache apartments are a symptom of that. They are beautiful, but if I was moving back I’d look for an older building (sacrificing amenities or a rooftop 😢) or a new building with an established builder (with a GOOD reputation, not just decent). But it’s really exhausting to have to do all that when people could just be good people, and focus on livable housing. Idk if you used a realtor, but consider outsourcing part of this stress to someone else next time? If your budget can handle it. Depending on the neighborhood, Philly is LOUD 😅 but I loved my lil north side block, even though it was definitely the hood, it felt like a real community and my neighbors were kind.

That is so true. They throw the apartments up too fast here in Philly! My last apartment (video on my channel) was one of the few that was built well and that’s only because it’s a refurbished factory. Renting an apartment in a rowhouse is a good option too.
