I so appreciate this! I'm not a mother but I'm in nursing school and am going to do women's health so it's good to have a video for new moms to watch just to get an idea for which pumps may be right for them. It's easier than getting patients to read 😀

I was so excited to receive this pump and use it. After less than 3 months of occasional use the units started malfunctioning. I was sent replacement pumps after customer service not being able to resolve the issue. The replacement pumps are not marked and do not look like the original pumps sent- I immediately called willow and was told I can write on the pump or put a sticker on it. WHY WOULD I DEFACE A $500 product?? I have spent over 6 hours on the phone with customer service or on hold and all I asked was for pumps that were like the original that I purchased. No one has been able to resolve the issue- for that I would not recommend willow. You cant market yourself as a luxury product with less than 1 star customer service.

Oh my gosh this is amazing I used to go out in my car and pump with a big giant pump and it's portable battery 3 times a day when I went back to work with a newborn, because I had literally no other options. THIS will make life so much easier for working Mom's

My experience with Willow has been horrific. I depended on this pump as my travel pump but have had numerous problems. 1) The flip to finish mechanism is a disaster. There is always milk left in the flange which just means it gets everywhere. Even after watching the video and talking to them about it, it was impossible to master. 2) The pump is SO sensitive that exposure to the slightest amount of liquid can make it malfunction. Note that they DO NOT make this clear to users despite the faulty design mentioned above that is hard to master. They mention it only on page 36 of their manual (which I've now learned). 3) Their repair and customer service function when a pump malfunctions is among the worst I've ever seen. If you're pump malfunctions they have no recourse except to buy a new one. I, as I'm sure have many others, have spilled liquids on electronics before and they're either fine or there is a good repair option. Given that moms depend on pumps to nourish their babies, this seems to me like something the company would prioritize. Horrific. I'm now stuck with a single faultily-designed single pump or I have to buy a $200 replacement when I've already spent $500. My other complaints are that the bag design is so wasteful and expensive. The bags aren't big enough to do a full pumping and only actually ever hold max 3.7oz. Much prefer the Elvie model here. Finally, their support around insurance reimbursement was also awful. NOT WORTH IT.

Have you tried the Willow 2.0? Do you know how it compares with suction and the major differences between the 1.0 and 2.0 for moms?

Great question! The one reviewed in this video is the 1.0, but here's a helpful article that outlines the difference in the newer version that just launched last month: www.cnbc.com/2019/01/04/willow-2point0-breast-pump-review.html

Just curious what brand of nursing bra she has on in this video? I've had trouble with the fit of the willow in my current bra, looking for a better alternative.

My wife just got one of these and I have to say it was an ABSOLUTE waste of money ... as in if you think you can in ANY way use this at work without looking like your breasts are ridiculously to big... (she saw adds where ~yeah you can wear your scrubs~ ... well yes you can.. but they look absolutely blown out of proportion). Of course how can ANYONE know this until they are opened to actually see it for themselves.... of course opening them voids all chances of a refund... what kind of company is this!!!..so now we are stuck with this damned expensive thing that she cannot use at work.... she literally has a harkaa which works faster and is more compact at $12.00 freaking dollars. I would caution anyone who has not seen one of these working in person to consider other options. She is now in tears as we are not wealthy and feel so ripped off.

Got this pump for my wife...it broke after 3 uses and then we called them and they just gave us a bunch of "sorry its out of warranty" nonsense. It's a total POS DO NOT WASTE your time or your money on this trash.

Aww that’s such a bummer Peter... If you haven’t already gotten a free pump through your insurance, your wife could try that route: www.babylist.com/hello-baby/free-breast-pump-through-health-insurance

Writing this review as while pumping in the middle of a coffee shop. My breasts look enormous, but it's better than a power cord going into my boob, and a pair of bottles hanging off my boobs. Pros: - Discrete. Huge one for me. I am able to pump while driving (hook up when I get into the car, take it off when I park). I pump in my office during the day, and instead of being totally unavailable during the time that I pump, support staff and administration can pop into my office and have a brief convo while I pump. The pump does make some noise, and your boobs will look HUGE, so I haven't attended meetings in it, and I wouldn't wear it while seeing a patient, but anything short of that is a go with this pump. - Battery powered. Before this pump, I would have to crawl under my desk every day to plug in my pump. Now I just charge once a day when I get home from work. Cons: - I did notice SLIGHTLY reduced milk production compared to Lansinoh. With the Lansinoh, I was able to put away a 4 oz bottle of milk every couple days. With the Willow, I am breaking even on breast milk. I do have to drink Mother's milk to keep my supply up. But we have not needed to supplement. - Cost of bags, both to my wallet and on the environment. Neutral: - Ok, it DOES hurt when you first start using it. But that goes away in the first couple days.
