I thought at first that this movie is too modern for it setting, now it's showing us it's not even realistic... A girl as been locked inside a prison for god knows how long with no one to talk to... A literal prince came to save and is offering her company... The prince won't be the one trying to get to know her, it'd be the other way around otherwise something supernatural is going on... Not because she likes the prince or anything but because she hasn't spoken to anyone in a while... Even a day without contact in prison would reduce you to a blabbering mess... Brandon Sanderson got it right with shallan and kaladin being stuck inside the canyon... Caladin was only silent because he's used to it as a former slave... That's normal... Shallan who saw it as her past once again couldn't stop talking... Because that's how humans behave... Even caladin eventually opened up because if you're stuck together in a remote place with no one in sight, I don't care if you're the most introverted person, you'll open up... That's the perfect setting for heart to heart conversation not whatever is going on here... This is basically the writer wanting to write their feminist gripe against the Disney damsel in distress trope and they broke their setting and threw away a good opportunity for mighty fine character development conversations just because they're bitter about old tropes... My god, these people aren't professionals... They're hacks...

I think you missed an important point. Kit falling into the “liquid evil” actually made it more evil. The Crone’s moronic tactics are more effective once Airk drinks the “liquid evil with essence of Kit”. Kit actually went from the most insufferable character in the show…to literally INFECTING her naive, captive twin brother. I feel like the Crone was lurking in the Immemorial City, she tried tempting Airk with a mysterious femanine voice to enter the obvious room of evil. That didn’t work, so she tried being rude to him. That didn’t work either so she tried to start an avalanche while Kit stood on the surface of the Lake of Evil. The Crone is thinking “the only thing more evil than me that I’ve encountered is his twin sister, so lets dunk her in it and get him to drink it then see what happens”…WORKED PERFECTLY. Airk: “I’ll do whatever you want”. He has no strength to resist the combined evil of the Crone and Kit

A normal person who'd been a prisoner for long enough would respond with gratitude for her release, and be more concerned about getting home. If anything, she should be mildly impressed with Airk's observational skills. He notes that the light never changes, and all roads return to the city. His "joke" about a nightmare is very much on point, because this place is not behaving normally. But the people writing this movie they MUST respond with stereotypical vitriol to the thing they most despise. For these writers, it's men--not unlike how PUA cultists react to women, or fedora lords react to any religion of which they are not the object.

I can give them the benefit of the doubt on the ocean line; you can walk across an ocean. What makes something an ocean isn't depth but rather size and content as long as it's a basin filled with salt water that is larger than what could reasonably be considered a lake, you're not wrong to call it an ocean only real criteria is that its continuos because if it's fully enclosed then it's just a giant lake and if it's mostly enclosed it's a sea.

Feels like Kit and Airk should have been swapped. She would be on board with a power that preaches breaking norms seeing as we start the series with her complaining about norms and how restrictive they are. Airk also could have had an arc where he figures out he doesnt love Elora but he still decides to protect her because it's right and that leaves Elora open to love the other guy.

Holy fk, it was bad enough that Kit was in the show, but now there's another one?!! Insufferable narcissism is truly the most apt description of her little stand off against the dude-prince. Complete with absolutely anachronistic insults (McSleazor, fkn really??). Doesn't really help that she starts off by going "I'm not some palace ditz, gonna go all quivery just because you bat your eyes in my direction" and then NOT THIRTY MINUTES LATER tries to hump his bones. I'm sure the people that wrote this thought they were being clever, by having her about face so abruptly, but there's a thing called *tonal consistency* and they're doing the COMPLETE OPPOSITE of that.
