I got a 45 Colt but it's a Taylor's 7th Cavalry SA revolver, not a Rossi lever action rifle. I love lever guns but am a lousy rifleman.

I've got the 20" stainless .44 mag. and even though I bought it new for $500 about 10 years ago I really like it and would love to snag another with the 16" barrel. I've had no problems with it and the action smoothed up after several range sessions. If you hunt in tall dark timber these are a very good deal. It's hard for me to imagine that folks are paying $1500-2000 for a lever gun today. It better be made out of titanium for that much cash. Thank you for the video.

"Top shelf" or not, that's a beautiful rifle. Right when you said "it's got some lovin' on it", that's exactly what I was thinking. And worthy of it, too.

I got my lever wrap from Ricochet Roy's Wild West, which I'm pretty sure you recommended to me a couple years ago. Dig the new look - it's very...intimate 😉

Wow! I LOVE the new video look. Did you upgrade the camera? The lighting? Post editing software? All of the above? The video definitely looks much ore professional and polished looking. Even the sound is much better (very important). I'm impressed! Also great video on a great gun. I'd love to get my hands on a Rossi 92 in .357. I was hoping that Marlin, under Ruger ownership would bring back affordable lever guns, but sadly all I've seen is 1K+ lever guns from them. :(

Yep, finally sprung for a real camera, soft boxes for my lights, new mic, new stands, and a bunch of hours learning about camera settings. It was long overdue. 😁

Compared to the competition, the quality is there and the price is right.

From what I am hearing, If my dad isn't going hunting this year, I have to go with my younger sister. I may just break out his old Marlin 30-30 lever for deer season.

Sadly, we traded my dad's old Marlin 30-30 for a Uberti Cattleman (which I have since sold) to get into SASS.

I'd love to HAVE an original! I will say, I wouldn't abuse it the way I do this one, so there's something to be said for a clone. 😁

I still want to get one for "fun" I can probably settle for a 22 lever. Or maybe a .22 mag?
@SapperGentleman2 жыл бұрын
James (Seamus) has a little Winchester 22 lever action that is an absolute blast to shoot.

Has leaving the hol where the safety was ever caused you an issue, i.e., like debris getting in there and jamming up the firing pin? Thanks.

Nope. Not at all.

@@SapperGentleman Thanks. Got mine last week (shorty in .45 Colt) and the first thing I did was remove that godawful safety, leaving a hole. Shot fine. Like the gun.

In Cowboy Action Shooting, they really look down on the 92. They all prefer the '73.
@SapperGentleman3 ай бұрын
For good reason. There's no way to make it run as fast as a short-stroked 73.

I won one of these in a raffle at Tombstone, Arizona. Never fired it. Threw it up on a shelf in my office as more of a display.
