Well, several Black Watch battalions served in the 51st Highland Division during both world wars. That included the 1st Battalion,The Black Watch (RH) (formerly the 42nd Royal Highland Regiment) who were assigned to the 51st in 1940 and again from 1941-45. The Territorial battalions of the Black Watch (4th/5th and 6th/7th) formed part of the 51st Highland Division until it was finally 'Whitehalled' in 1967, to be replaced by The 51st Highland Vounteers.
