As an artist, watching this is almost nauseating, the struggle of creating and living go hand in hand so often with how overwhelming the need to make anything worth the time you've got less and less of. It's so easy for others to say to be realistic but at some point it's heartbreaking to look in yourself to find nothing bc it's in everything you made for everyone else rather than where you were supposed to keep it safe for yourself. Just a constant toil for, with, and to love. Kaveh is such a relatable and silly guy but this song really captures the sadder aspects of kaveh's character

I feel you so damn hard. I've loved drawing since I was a kid, and when I was like 14 years old I decided I wanted to be an artist. I now study visual arts in College, and since I entered, creating art just doesn't feel the same, we have to make traditional art, paintings, realism, landscapes, and most of the time I just don't enjoy it anymore, I seriously draw so much less now that I'm supposed to, than when I didn't have to. And when I think of the future, I know I probably won't be able to live of art.
@FredwardDrawn Жыл бұрын
@alexs.7956 it's a daunting feeling, art as a hobby vs a job are such different experiences and I wish more schools prepared young artists for th transition. If it helps, something that got me through college was finding the people who DO love making the art you don't online or if they post live paintings and finding out why they care for it. Alot of times, you'll find most artists love the same things in different mediums and styles. Even when i didn't like the studies i made, i focused less on the necessity of learning it and more on what aspects of the art could connect me to the people who do love what i cant. There's love for everything in this world but not every horizon is meant to be reached despite it being only one world and light. Don't feel bad for not taking the paths everyone or even yourself expected to take. Taking Breaks or acknowledging that the world is getting harder to be an artist is not going to take away from a talent you've honed for yourself first. I hope you find the joy in making the art you want to make though, no matter what path you take in life.

I love this song so much, this song completely captures both kaveh's struggles and complexity as a character. I know genshin impact is a game about gods etc so its not suppose to be realistic however kaveh's entire story arc feels so grounded in reality as his character theme is about recovering from a death of a loved one and also being honest about oneselfs... He feels such a realistic character and this song completely captures that. Thank you so much for this song, Will Stetson.

As an artist myself, this song also captures that struggle that many artists (including myself) go through--wherein, art is supposed to be about doing what YOU want to do, making what YOU want to make... but that lifestyle is also incredibly hard to sustain yourself with unless you're lucky. So you have to turn to commissions, which tend to be really specific to what the client wants, rather than what YOU want--which very often takes the fun out of art, and it's a back and forth of whether or not you like art or not. It's incredible how in a fantasy-scifi game about gods and magic, a character like Kaveh (whose entire story is so realistic and easy to relate to) can exist. That might be why he's one of my favorites, lol

Truth is, beside the beautiful portrayal of Kaveh's character, I think this song speaks of every artist's struggle. The joy to create something beautiful and worthwhile, the harsh criticism every artist undoubtedly faces, and the bitter truth that you'll always ask the question "What is this all for?" but find no answer, yet never being able to deny the call of your soul either. Truly 'When you swing your brush you have to follow through'. You don't put the brush down until you've poured your soul in your work with blood, sweat and tears, and then you have to face the truth that even then, it's full of flaws and imperfections.

As an artist (and Kaveh kinnie lmao), listening to this song genuinely made me cry. This portrays my struggles perfectly. As much as I enjoy doing my artworks I often feel “trapped” in the process of making an illustration, to the point where I refuse to take any breaks until I finish the damn drawing (hence the “you have to follow through”), knowing that the process will be filled of criticism coming from myself and others as well, but nevertheless, I pour my soul in each drawing. God, this song really hits deep for me honestly

The song oddly pokes more on a personal level then I think it should.. As an Artist myself who has alot of personal struggles, I find the lines 'Following though' 'bleeding paint' and 'trapped inside' tends to poke at how im colourblind and I have carpal tunnel. I have to work extra hard in my artwork for little in return. There's constant mistakes, and sometimes due to my wrist, some days I just can't draw no matter how much I want to, it just hurts my wrist too much.. Then theres the heavy criticism of other bigger atists saying my sty style sucks and I need to change it, when i've been working on making it better for almost 9 years now. And yet, I keep going, expecting nothing in return but only to inspire others to start art and put their visons on paper.

As an architect and artist I can say how much relatable this song is. An arsitst always wants to find the perfect way to do everything, even the smallest things. And you end up in an endless circle of self-hatred and insecurity that makes you have a breakdown or simply lack of inspiration inflicted by the perfectionism. Such a good song, indeed.

For those who don't understand the allegory here, it's about how devotion to your art causes you to lose a piece of your own self for every masterpiece you create. The "Writing" is the suffering of the artist as they lose their life and sanity trying to perfect the masterpiece.
@theknight42799 ай бұрын
I thought "writing on the wall" was an idiom referring to some kind of sign that bad stuff is coming. I think it's based off a Bible story where God wrote words on a wall foretelling the downfall of a king. Your interpretation of the song as a whole does seem pretty logical though, I just don't know about your interpretation of that specific line.

I am graduate from the Architecture major and believe me I finished this major with an ounce of passion left in me. These days I felt that my passion to draw, to design is slowly falling apart and I missed those days that I enjoyed solving design problems to be able to design for the people.Believe me those endless struggles made me questions if this is a worth a life, that I'm going to live for the rest of my life and I was ready to give it all until this happen. And then one day my brother suggested me to listen to this fan-made song in Genshin-Hoyofest . I did not know this event since I only became a fan of it this recently. I heard this song for the first time and I cried, like literally sobbing. I realized that Kaveh, who is an architect, also experience those struggles, especially overthinking things of this solution is not enough hence, we shall change these specific idea, and all those repetitive revising and changing makes me wonder if this what I want in life, wherein you need to to be diligent enough to thoroughly check and recheck everything to make a functional yet aesthetical designs that preserves human and quality of life. Yes all the lyrics of the song is so relatable to the point it tells the audience about what life of an architecture or any art-relted majors and even professionals really experience. Because of this awe-inspiring song, I then, admires Kaveh's outstanding passion and efforts to not just literally draw but also to protect the dreams of people with pride and honor. To those who are going in the same path as I am, believe me its not easy but no matter what happens, just don't give up in chasing your what your hearts desired, This song inspires a person like me who is ready to give up my dream to becoming an Architect, so thank you for being the voice of the artists in any way. Kudos to all the people behind it, and thank you for saving our lives. If you already came here and read this long message, Thank you and I hope you are in good health in mind and body. This is my favourite detail in this song. It also shows how self-destructive Kaveh is, and how he loses himself as he tries to perfect every work until he completely overworks himself just so he can feel accomplished, just so someone can appreciate his work. The lyrics change too, it goes from; Lives on - this could mean the start of his career, working passionately. Remains - The peak of his career probably, the day he finished the palace of Alcazarzaray. The day he lost everything just to finish it. Trapped - This is after he finishes the palace of Alcazarzaray. Where he's trying to get back on his feet by working hard. Burnt out maybe? This is how I mostly interpret Kaveh - it might be subjective because I also was on the peak until massive art block hit me and its almost as if I lost -everything- skill.

I wish I could tell you how much pain I felt with every passing note. The fact that Kaveh brought me so much pain not just because of his backstory but because we're dangerously similar as artists...and as people, it scares me, more than a character should have. You've made a masterpiece. It's true, the writing on wall is always there and it always gets worse. I wish i could give Kaveh a hug, because i know i needed it too. Thank you for giving us this gem. i'll always come back

Rather than being scared by the similarity, maybe you can think of it this way: The reason why the creators were able to make him so similar to you is because you are not alone. There are so many people with similar circumstances. If only they would reach out, they would be more likely to find one another and help each other. I hope this helps.

The bible reference 😭😭 Writing in the wall is also known as Belshazzar’s Feast The idiom writing on the wall became an idiom meaning to the ‘foreshadowing of any impending doom, misfortune, or end’ (live love wikipedia) Someone who refuses to ‘see the writing on the wall’ means they’re ignorant to the signs of a disastrous event that will likely occur in the near future. The Architect lives on inside > The Architect remains inside > The Architect is trapped inside Shining Paint > Peeling Paint > Bleeding paint Marble heart > A heavy heart > A shattered heart I've been literally playing this on repeat, it resonates so much with me as someone very close to the arts and a perfectionist but this song is so beautiful for some reason. As I play this more and more I see how poetic it is and the melody is especially beautiful aofhdihoshiofd I love how this song's lyrics has sooo much meaning and Will's voice is SO good for this.

Okay now that I'm calmer-- I'm gonna tell you exactly what I love about this song. First, the instrumental/beat. Even at the beginning, when Kaveh still isn't fully showing his distress, there's that underlying tension present in the melody, which kind of foreshadows what's coming next: Kaveh's breakout. Second, the lyrics. Kaveh's a character prone to succumb to the pressure of being the one in charge of planning the buildings' structure. That surely must take a toll on him. It is his duty to do a good job to ensure that “their towers don't fall”. Even though there are a lot of external reasons that could make the buildings crumble, I'm pretty sure Kaveh would blame himself if that ever happened, no matter if he was at fault or not. On top of that, I've always seen him as someone terrified of his next work of art. He's a brilliant architect, so I think he'd be afraid he wouldn't be able to create something that lived up to people's expectations after his last marvel (think Satoru Kutsuna from Canis: Dear Hatter). And last but not least, the visuals. I love how the artist played with the bright red that becomes more present as the song progresses. It's always been there, in Kaveh's hairpins (which I think was a genius placement, since his mind is the source of all overthinking and anguish, so it'd be logical for the red to stem from there), but it grows bigger and bigger until it consumes him and drives him crazy. Amazing work as always, Will. Both your originals and covers are top tier. You're a really big inspiration for aspiring musicians and fan creators 🫶

I love the lyrics of the song. Kaveh descending more into madness. There's a lot of similarities in the lyrics that get more and more sad every verse! Especially in the chorus: "Shining paint, a marble heart. That's what makes a work of art" "Peeling Paint, a heavy heart. That's what makes a work of art" "Bleeding Paint, a shattered heart. That's what makes a work of art" There's also the "instru mental breakdown" at 2:55 or the scrolling text at 3:09 saying "Artist here. I am loosing my mind. So many drawings" I think Kaveh was really enthusiastic about his drawings at first. Prideful, joyful and he really did live for the buildings. But the more he got rejected the more he pushed himself, made sure everything is perfect, ignoring the shadows and focusing on boxes and lines over and over but the rejections of his proposal broke his heart. You can see him beating himself up and putting himself into all these paintings and all his work He continued pushing through, getting trapped in his craft and pushing further. In the last verse and refrain you can see him drawing puzzle pieces and drawing them onto himself. then he removed a part of himself in the shape of it where his heart was. The last picture is Kaveh literally giving us that puzzle piece he had removed before, His heart. He is giving his heart away. The Text at about 2:45 looks like 'We're going down, baby' and the second one looks like 'down, and down...` the last one is obviously 'Down' too which (in my interpretation) means that Kaveh is sinking down. Into his madness. Honestly I love it. Everything sounds similar but the lyrics make the descend into madness more obvious. The voices in the second verse drowning out the happy tune and the tone beeing compleatky different by the third. It sounds like a horror music, the happy music getting more and more scary or depressed. It's hard to describe. Will Stetson's voice also added to the madness of everything. I love it. Now I just feel like giving Kaveh a big hug and making him go to sleep... Dude has to deal with enough shiz. I want him to get his appreciation for art back.

"One mistake is all it takes" Really makes sense for artists, since If you make one mistake all hope is lost and you can't even do anything about it, One thing makes it good but one mistake will affect a big future, we can't really do anything about it now since we are just here showing our talents and what we can do, just to realize we were following a certain goal soon about to be broken just because of one mistake that we caused, it's difficult for everyone who has been through it, and for those who started, it's not worth it, because, "Once you've done it, you can't undo it, it'll forever remain"

I noticed a small detail that, as someone who struggles with depression, quite resonates with me. Since the beginning, even in his “healthy” state, Kaveh’s words are trembling. The letters on the screen are physically shaking. His self-doubt, self-loathing, anxiety, they are all seeping through the cracks in his façade even as he desperately attempts to keep himself alive and sane. It really gets to my heart.
@fleeingmoment479 Жыл бұрын
Love how it incorporated Kaveh's cross x hair clips into the video, drawn over his face, body and all over the drawings on the wall as though he's crossed everything that reminds him of his own imperfections- especially the creations where he used pieces of himself. As he lets himself be blind and deaf to all the signs (and scrawls on the walls) telling him to stop as he lost pieces and bits of himself to his own creations. Absolutely marvelous masterpiece

I love how art is supposed to be therapeutic for us humans, and yet... When one makes it their job, suddenly it brings out the horrors from the darkness, it's almost like one cannot force creation out of themselves, it has to come naturally (and these things take time) or else it destroys us. I like it, it's poetic~
@Rashicora Жыл бұрын
When we make art for ourselves, we keep the same amount of ourselves we gave to our art. Making art for someone else is giving ourselves away and not getting any of it back. We bleed our art, and it flows and flows until we bleed ourselves dry. People with unipolar depression or major depression have a 5% likelihood to commit suicide. Artists have between a 15% and 50% chance of committing suicide. That makes artists 18x more likely to commit suicide than a non-artist. Making art for other people, we bleed out until there isn’t any left for us. So yes, the thing we pour our heart into can literally bleed us out and kill us. Making art for a living is killing us, the most liberating thing in the world taking us but by bit until there’s nothing left. Very poetic, I agree, even as an artist struggling with the aforementioned. I think it’s fascinating, even while walking the same road towards what might be my eventual demise. It’s kinda cool to me, haha! Just- the concept is so captivating y’know? The pull, the lure, the bait and catch of the scalpel that slices us all, the vial to which we bleed and bleed and bleed until we are no more. Thank you btw, I enjoyed being able to write about this subject ^w^

Perhaps a bit of an unusual comment, but this song made me pick up a brush again. I've been struggling with art for a while now bc it feels like even when i pour my heart and soul on it, it will never be enough for anyone, not even myself. Art is truly an emotional and personal thing to do. More often than not, it hurts to create them. It hurts even more when you think you did well, but then you see the mistakes all over them, and you are no longer proud of them. When i learned about kaveh's story in-game, i cried bc i felt his struggles. When i heard this song for the first time, i felt it even more. And oddly enough, it feels comforting that a fictional character has similar struggles to mine. That's why i said this song made me pick up a brush again. Because even if it hurts when i pour out all my heart on my art, i still want to keep on creating. I don't ever want to give up my passion. Maybe one day, i'll be able to create smth that i can truly be proud of. Anyways, sorry for the rant. Thank you for making such a beautiful song, and thank you, kaveh, for being such a beautifully written character ❤

There's something beautiful in how the music goes from a serene tune to total despair, a final scream to say "do you see now?" And it's something that resonated with me, even though i'm no architect, the lyrics felt too deep. Even in the artistic side or the mental health regarding about it, it felt like someone just saw my bare soul, all the thoughts I buried were bared to the world to see how self-destructive, loathing and hateful they were, to see who I am beyond the personality I build to keep myself together and alive. They're not beautiful thoughts, but the anxiety they have keep me alive. Will I be ever able to see what I want in my art? Is this the right way? Do I really want to pursue this when I want to make art in any way? Will I be able to escape the fate I think I can't escape? Reaching perfection, or grabbing the brush and starting a new work, takes a toll to find the "right" way because there's so many ways to go about it and when you reach the final step towards it, it's hard to glance back and think "but I wanted to do that" without trying to step back and run towards it, only to fail and fall, feeling a hollowness that won't go away because you could not do what you wanted before, fleeting as it were, it grows strong when your present work feels gray and it doesn't spark a feeling. It's funny how the song says "no matter the cost, do things right" and I felt it like a slap to my face, how many times I tried that and it worked? Working things to make it right takes a toll, just like the so called "right" way. It's easy to hold on, but the character seems to be heavy by it, and I do too. And the writing on the wall feels ironic to me, because everytime I found myself troubled with my thoughts and feelings I used to write something small on it, even when I erased it, the things in there won't go away from my mind. They're giving me a sign, and I slowly realized what it meant, but I couldn't see it because I thought it didn't make sense, why would I be like that? Screaming and praying, making dreams in clay... How easy it's to step on it yourself, before they become solid? Maybe that's why I found it hard to stop listening to this song, even though the character in here seems okay, chill, charming and happy, it won't stop the thoughts coming to remind you why you're still stuck or why that happened. Trapped inside the building is the (for me at least) equivalent to being stuck in a never ending self-destructive path mentally, but we kept it together because there's no point feeling regret, even though our actions and words beg to differ. Or maybe it's just a way to hide how destructive they are, how much we wish to reach that "perfection" and "right" way, after all it feels like we can't escape fate, what we think will fail and does fail. It's not healthy, and it took me a long way to come in peace with the fact I need therapy, what I used to joke about needing therapy with my friends was a harsh reality that I do need it, needed it before and need it now. And I think,,, maybe that's also why it took me so long to see how self-destructive I was. They say an artist's work reflects their soul, but I think it's only when they do it for themselves and pour their feelings when it becomes too much to bear, they will be called another work and another painting, and no one will know. That doesn't mean every art it's the same, for they don't share the same purpose and every artist has their own way of working. This is more in the mental health side, which starts being reflected in what they love to do and it shows gradually, slowly, until they notice and stop it faking it by trying things. Such a long rant lol

Kaveh is such a complex character and this song's not only capture him flawlessly, it also depicts how artists feel when the burden of "perfection" is on their shoulders. I saw many artists (myself included) suffered from burnout because they couldn't achieve something far beyond their ability. It also adds to the burden when people understimate and don't appreciate artists enough 😢 "When you swing your brush, you have to follow through." This line in particular destroyed me on the spot because it shows how artists forced themselves to keep creating art even though they suffer greatly....

I don't know how but you managed to portray Gifted-Kid burnout, creative anxiety, and depression all at once. Not just in the lyrics but the music and vocals too, it's all so elegant and chaotic, I love it! This was how I felt in my late middle school & early high school years. I feel a lot better nowadays but it was /rough/ for quite a while.
@SeaPupperEnthusiast4 ай бұрын
God this song is so devastating. I always envied others who had artistic talent because my defeatist-perfectionism would always stop me from really developing any sort of talent but now I see no matter how much an artist puts into their work they're still left feeling empty and like it's not enough. This song makes my heart sink every time, it's painful listening to it. I'm so glad Kaveh's letter for his birthday indicates he's doing better. I hope we get a second Alhaitham story quest in the future or a second Kaveh hang out that shows how much better he's doing. I know we talk about how well written Furina and Scaramouche are as tragic characters, but Kaveh is on the same level as them and it's all the more heartbreaking with how kind he is despite all his misfortunes. He is such a wonderful and lovely character. Happy Birthday Kaveh.

Kaveh is a character in Genshin. He is an architect, a famous one at that, even deserving him a title- light of kshahrewar- yet he is broke, and currently living in Alhaitham (his underclassmen during akademiya)'s home. The reason being Kaveh, an artist wanting perfection of his building, scrounge up his own money in order to make his magnum opus. He was shown to be this selfless person, and in his story quest, dislike if architecture are arts are only used as means of fame and fortune. He is very relatable to all us struggling artists lol

the progression from the architect lives on inside->the architect remains inside->the architect is trapped inside is AMAZING. it really shows how draining trying to be creative is, apart from the work put in to actually make ideas come to life, coming up with the ideas can be just as taxing. this can resonate with not only anyone in the field of architecture but also many other artists. and i just LOVE this song and the illustrations that come with it, thank you to everyone who was able to make this song come to life cause it really is an anthem for architects

The attention to detail in this video is absolutely crazy. Just to appreciate all the work put in this video, I'll mention what I notice: First is the basic design; the lining of the canvas is artistic, and each sketch of Kaveh has been labeled as 'Figure X' depending on it's order of appearance. In the background, there are faded sketches of architecture plans. The first chorus has a white and blue theme, while the second and third mostly have black and red theme (the second chorus having all four colours), negative colours to white and blue. The red crosses on Kaveh's sketches (both of himself and of his building plans) extremely resemble his hairpins. Only in two instances Kaveh's eyes are seen; The first chorus and the last one. The transitions are akin to ink spilling on paper. In first chorus, Kaveh is delicately carving a Greek-style building out of marble. In the second chorus, he's harshly nailing a doll of himself into the structure in front of his scrapped out plans on the wall. In the third chorus, the wall has crumbles, and Kaveh's top is bare, revealing his empty chest. In the instrumental break, the transition is childish sketches of stars and the moon fading into falling puzzle pieces, the 'instrumental break' glitches into 'instru mental breakdown', a Kaveh doll play the music, a quote of Kaveh about aesthetics, and his faceless game figure, labeled 'Figure 66, the unappreciated master'. The final texts before the lyrics start read "Artists here. Losing my mind. So many drawings..." Before the third chorus, we see a sketch of the missing puzzle piece in his chest, implying that he measured it perfectly, matched the measurements with his own body, and tore the piece out of his own chest, as he's holding it in his palm in the last moment. The lyrics of the three choruses: "Within every building made with pride, the architect _lives on/remains/is trapped_ inside, _shining/peeling/bleeding_ paint a _marble/heavy/shattered_ heart, that's what makes a work of art", the switched words are essentially the three faces of the same thing, which is absolutely beautiful. The classic-style instrumental break, combined with the overall pop theme really is fitting for Kaveh. A mixture of both old and modern art, yet art all the same. (The way 'That's what makes a work of art' in the last chorus is sang with such raw rage, it deeply resonates with me. Making art is not a pretty process, and an artist would know that best. Thank you so much for this amazing video.)

@@diyastraveldiary5943 idk if I'm right but maybe it refers to something very clear yet Kaveh choses to ignore.. he said it was his "fate" he can't escape, and what may make his towers fall so maybe he means tge realistic world, apart from his dreams, like opinions and how idealism didn't get him what he desired. In short the writing on the wall is all he hates to admit, but still real. Hope that makes sense????

Now people understand why Kaveh is a favorite character of mine Also as an artist who suffers with near crippling perfectionism and self-judgment this song also kinda hits close to home for me too lmao Also I love the harmonic dissonance within the song if you get what I mean, it really captures Kaveh's mentality and his desire to want to be in control of things and make them perfect to a T It's like he's trying to hold everything together, but it's steadily coming unraveled no matter how hard he tries, and it's trapping him inside a box of his own making God I love music LMAO

i'm going into college in half a year, and i'm going to be an architect. that's something i wouldn't have been able to say even just 3 days before this comment. kaveh urged me to pursure architecture, but i was leaning towards engineering more solely due to my family and what they seemingly want me to be. they kept insinuating that i would be better off as an engineer, and that engineers do the same thing that architects do, just with extra steps and a higher pay (which is untrue on the "they do the same thing that architects do" part. they were just trying to convince me). i was sure i was going to take engineering and have been crying about it on and off for a week now, until this song released. i know that seems counter-intuitive, since this song highlights the negative effects that kaveh has suffered from just for pursuing this passion of his. but, this reminded me of how similar our mentalities are, and how beautiful kaveh's passion for his craft is. after crying to this song (LMAO I'M AN EMOTIONAL PERSON I'M SORRY), i summoned the courage to voice what i want to do and to put my foot down. and i finally got approval (not from all of them, as i haven't told my father yet, but it's a good start). if the journey isn't arduous, then you're treading the wrong path,, so it is undoubtable that i will have the same turmoil that kaveh has and is depicted in this song, but that's alright, because i would be doing what i so badly want to do in the world. i'll just hope that i won't end up as miserable as kaveh at the ending of this song HAHAHAH I LOVE THIS SONG SO MUCH,, THANK YOU! i kinda owe this song (and everyone who contributed to its creation) my future, because it pushed me to persist. 🏛❤🩹

Palaces of silver and gold Cannot be designed overnight It's like the saying I've often been told "No matter the cost, do things right" You have to be careful, you have to be diligent Planning and measuring every detail Creating is drawing, erasing and drawing again And I've never been in it for fame or attention I only work hard so the structures won't fail But seeing it finished is worth every Mora I spend Within every building made with pride The architect lives on inside Shining paint, a marble heart That's what makes a work of art We build and we play Sculpting dreams out of clay With the hope that our towers don't fall That we won't have to see the writinattachedg on the wall The more you work, the higher the stakes And the bigger the sorrows to drown 'Cause one mistake is all that it takes For the walls to come crumbling down You have to ignore them, the echoing voices That cackle and curse as you toil away Cover your ears and focus on boxes and lines And the shadowy figures, they're nothing but shadows Like ink on a page, they have nothing to say But maybe, just maybe, they're trying to give me a sign That in every building made with pride The architect remains inside Peeling paint, a heavy heart That's what makes a work of art We scream and we pray Sculpting dreams out of clay As we try not to look at the scrawl The message of doom, the writing on the wall Every day we play this game of chance Whirling through a desperate dance Sketching visions in our heads Just to see them ripped to shreds This road that we share Doesn't lead anywhere But there's nothing an artist can do When you swing your brush, you have to follow through Within every building made with pride The architect is trapped inside Bleeding paint, a shattered heart That's what makes a work of art I'll fight for control But the right way takes a toll And still, at the end of it all I can't escape my fate The writing's on the wall

I use a translator because I don’t have the strength to write myself this song is incredible. the best thing I've ever listened to in my life. it not only reflects the lore of Kaveh, his life, his character, his dreams, hopes, torments, losses, but also helps people like me. Who just want to give up. Who have no strength. My birthday is on the same day as Kaveh's birthday. And, unfortunately, or fortunately (?) moments in life also some kind of the same. The suffering we've been through. Hard work. My desire to create. The work of art. And rejection by society. I feel like this is, in some way, a song about me. the way your voice rises, the way the atmosphere builds, the way you growl as you sing. this is how much I want to scream every day. how much I want to have at least 1 close person in my life. how much I want to find happiness that I don’t have the strength to achieve. your voice is incredible. I'm glad I was able to hold out to be able to play genshin. I'm trapped. Trapped in my own world from the worst moments of my life. and how hard and loud I scream, you were able to show in this song, making it for a game character. This is amazing. perhaps this is a cry from the heart. The Internet is a place where people like me go unnoticed. I'm not afraid to write all this. I get so much hate every day, and if people hate me here for everything I wrote, people won’t hurt me more. I am made of pain. After finishing my design major n worked in the industry for a few years, I was completely drained n grew to hate my work. You toil yourself away to create things that make people happy, but it will never be enough, and at one point I started to hate what I created. So I decided to stop and venture into different fields, and it worked for me, I no longer feel that heavy weight on my shoulder. But in place of that, I now feel empty inside, what is passion n drive anymore. I sometimes want to pick up the pen again, but then I was reminded what I hated abt this job. I know ppl ve told me to create what I love again, but I cant, or maybe I dont want to, right now. While it isnt the same, I can somewhat understand the struggle of someone who grew to hate themselves n their work in the process of creating something for the joy of ppl. I feel this is the same for everyone who puts their hearts into their work, I always ask myself now, is it better to tear yourself away in your work, or just becomes empty to no longer feel anything.

I have a new favourite song. I love how the music gets more and more unhinged the deeper we reach into Kaveh's desperation and depression. The way he deliriously clanks on the piano keys... I feel that. Not only because I play the piano. And even though the music derails, the melody struggles to keep the consistency up top. I love it when the arrangement represents the meaning of a song. Thank you so much for this work of art. I hope it didn't cost you a big piece of your soul. 😅

I was genuinely so close to crying after my first listen HAHA You've perfectly captured the life of a creative and the progress of starting out art for fun and just yourself but down the years spiraling into perfectionism and the loneliness of being the artist behind a piece of art you might not even get to make just for yourself anymore. Making art requires you to be vulnerable and to sacrifice a lot of yourself into the work you make both physically and mentally and god, you've just captured it all so perfectly. This is such a beautiful song aghh good job

Its impresive how genshin brings us kaveh at the beginning to be in the game a not playable character, just an accesory to think in alhaitham its the main star, then suddendly hoyo bring us the event when he shines just as a main character story, but even with that.....hoyo anyways forgot about kaveh, not just in story or in events, its even in banners, thats quite sad, anyways people its just brilliant how if something likes to the community, "they inmortalize " even if genshin try to do not give him a last spotlight. im glad then the community bring a chance to continue and appreciate kaveh- ✨ Pd:i forget when kaveh transform in to a spooky monster who takes every thing from your world and erase it, even with that situation, hoyo try to hide it and not solve untill everyone was alr scared about the theme and have some bad memorys about kaveh.
