When I was a little smaller, I would always listen to the old version. It was so relatable with a childish strange wonder to it, it was so soft and was like a mournful stargaze. Now as I’m getting older and.. as I saw this version come out, it feels so perfectly upgraded with my newer feeling on the issue. It’s so calm at times, but then can ramp up so quickly to an almost rageful scream of pure pain, and I feel like that’s just- how it is for me. It’s not the same as when I was a kid, and I like it that way. It makes me feel even more seen, and it’s just.. spectacular, to say the least. Thank you for making this, Thank you so, so much.

for example the jumping sounds of the vocal 1:59 fitting to the more waltzy music, and also the talking at 2:24 where its not only the soft voice from before, but it feels higher pitched like its actually a girl talking and after that the more hard and deeper voice, sounding like it's panicking just like someone in her situation would feel while she does this. i really love those details and seeing these in songs, especially in covers shows how much love is put in them.
