Willy’s Pickup L6-226 Super Hurricane Resto Mod Rhode Island

This is the story of a 1961 Willys Pickup that made its way to Rhode Island from a farm in Texas. By New England standards this truck was in fantastic condition and as luck would have it, she ended up in my hobby shop for major facelift. Over the last 22 years in the collision business I’ve built and put together thousands of cars. This is my first Willys and certainly not my last. Follow us as we finish this truck the way it should be and bring back a piece of American history!

These motors are junk The stroke on the rods are way too long. These things are famous for throwing a rod through the engine block.
