Love the original song, but this puts an amazing jazz twist. I replayed probably about 10 times the first time I heard it.

Why does this make me long it for it to be Christmas?
@danielrivera689911 ай бұрын
Essentially has a harmony and the “feel” of a traditional jazzy christmas carol. Its basically in the genre and speed they decided to go with for this rendition. Still a banger tho.

Come with me, and you'll be In a world of pure imagination Take a look and you'll see Into your imagination We'll begin, with a spin Traveling in a world of my creation What we'll see will defy explanation And if you want to view paradise Simply look around and view it Anything you want to, do it Want to change the world? There's nothing to it There is no life I know To compare with pure imagination Living there, you'll be free If you truly wish to be And if you want to view paradise Simply look around and view it Anything you want to, do it Want to change the world? There's nothing to it There is no life I know To compare with pure imagination Living there, you'll be free If you truly wish to be

I live this cover cause it's not like others much. Others find it pure and sadly like. This is more jazzy and classy, it has a tint of nostalgia and kid tones that I love. Now I miss the past, this cover is so nice

I wish there could be a way to change songs with great emotion, into songs performed with emotion period. Here we have a peppy song, well played, and sung, no doubt. Great musicians. And I felt nothing.

I normally HATE jazz singers, but this chick is great! She has an amazing voice.
@catteadams8 жыл бұрын
+Captin Funk The reason you like this is because she is NOT singing it in a Jazz style whatsoever. A pop style, yes, but Jazz? No. The band is playing it in a stride tin pan alley fashion which in terms of instrumentation and most certainly the piano solo is early Jazz style, but more "pop of the day" formula of those 30's songs that sound much like this. Thus the tin pan alley comment..However the vocalist is singing in a straight up pop style and vocal style as well. Tho she is good. This treatment doesn't feel like much. But hey, she young, she has time to learn her craft. She has some nice skills to build upon already.

Was it really necessary to have piano and guitar comping so much, in the same range, at the same time?
@itmsjim3 жыл бұрын
Being there was no drummer, it worked fine. However, as with Oscar Peterson or Nat King Cole (p/g/b trios), the pianist should have filled more and let the guitarist do his thing. With that said, it worked. Plus, this was 6 years ago, so.....
