Great Glass elevator almost feels like what an AI might give you if you asked it to make a sequel to Charlie & the chocolate factory. I know that’s on the nose considering the Glasgow Willy’s chocolate experience scam, but Glass Elevator’s “Minusworld” basically justifies the concept of The Unknown and Wonka using a giant vacuum. This sequel is so weird, and it’s not that surprising that no one has ever tried to make a film out of it.

I remember reading this in school and being baffled at the 180 the story took from basically a confectionery story to a Doctor Who story. So surprised they never made a movie of this one. Wonka is definitely another incarnation of the Doctor in my eyes.

The Chocolate 🍫 Factory was pure fantasy, whereas the GGE was sci-fi. I can see how a lot of GGE was ripped off from Dr Who, though, but I still think it’s worthy of a movie.

I read somewhere that In the third unfinished book "Charlie and The White House" Charlie would become The President of The United States I have always rhought that this book was completed and that the "Charlie" books was a trilogy. The Mandela effect?
