Willys Jeep L-134 fuel pump front bolt install

Installing the fuel pump on an L-134.

I know that you used #2 Forma gasket on the bolts. Did you use any sealant on the gasket? Did you place the lever against the cam or above it or below it ? Did you move the cam with the crank bolt ?

It’s been years ago since I did that but if I remember correctly the lever is spring loaded in the up position. I pushed the lever down under the cam, seated the pump and installed the bolts. I used a regular liquid gasket sealer on both gasket. I don’t remember what brand. I didn’t need to move the cam to install it. I might have just been lucky.

Why the spacer plate?

David Dodson Some carbs require it to drop the fuel pressure. Mine had it so I figured it was needed.
