Im pretty sure it takes place over 3 nights since Starkweather tells you It’ll be over by the end of the night and then Cerberus knocks you out.The it’s presumably the next night. Plus I’m pretty sure in a level you can see the sun going down.

Yeah because Mortal Kombat gore is hyper-realistic and kind of cartoony, it's extreme and it's excessive, there's more detail in them for sure but they're hard to take seriously. Whereas Manhunt executions are more inspired by real life methods of murder and snuff films, they're disturbing because they look practical and realistic, even with the older graphics, but also because there's way more emotion in the victim's voice and movements as they're being murdered. I mean I felt bad for some of them because they're usually screaming, gasping for air and crying, especially later in the game when there are gang members with mental illnesses and intellectual disabilities who don't even know why they're there, I mean they were just being used and abused by other people in the gang and it's heartbreaking. I mean even outside of executions; I was fist-fighting a Smiley last night and when he got knocked down he was begging for me to kill him and saying how he just wanted the voices in his head to stop, it was intense. And as someone who's lives with severe psychosis, I remember a long time ago when I felt very similar to that (and just a word of advice; if you're considering suicide, just remember that it doesn't end your pain, it passes it on to your loved ones, if you have anyone or anything you care about, you don't want them to hurt themselves, so try to deal with it another way, it might be hard to talk about and the other ways of dealing with it may not seem obvious or appealing to you at the moment, but it doesn't have to be the end, just make sure to look for ways to stop your pain without taking yoir life) Whereas in Mortal Kombat the victims just kind of have a blank face or stock animations while they're completely torn to shreds, so they look like they're getting eviscerated but they don't really convey the feeling of being in pain. In the middle of the road between these two examples I'd say the executions in the game _Alien vs. Predator (2010)_ are like a midway point in the spectrum between _Manhunt_ executions and _Mortal Kombat_ executions, on one hand they're kind of ridiculous and over-the-top with their gore, especially when you're playing as the Predator and you're pulling spines out like they're nothing. But on the other hand; they're pretty chilling too, the whole game is in first-person so you instantly feel more immersed in the moment, the Alien and Predator campaign are more stealth-based, the victims almost always have very emotive voices and faces that you see in depth and detail (for the record I must also mention this game still has surprisingly good graphics for a nearly 10 year old game, they really stood the test of time), there's a lot of the same begging, screaming, gasping for air. What was really disturbing, for me personally, was playing as the Alien when you pin down a civilian and let a facehugger latch onto them, it's technically making the Alien an accomplice to various sexual assaults, the whimpers of the men you hold down as you're gently pushing them onto the ground, and some of those civilians know what's in store for them and they will also take their own lives if there is a nearby gun they can grab. It's no wonder that game was nearly banned too.
