This game was way underrated! It's a masterpiece of mechanics, artwork, and has a surprisingly deep story, that while it is it's own, takes elements and references from all previous Mad Max movie-story-lore. Gameplay is immensely fun and although there are challenges that can be frustrating (Speed Demon race, and Gastown race) they are both do-able by going really fast off the start line and shooting lots of thunderpoons. If youn take out the lead car in Speed Demon Barrell Bash Run the others will never catch you. In Gastown full thrust off the startline and stay behind Stank gum shooting poons and he'll go down in 4 or 5 strikes . . . and you win the race.

Damn I'm kinda shocked at how hard this was for others but that leads to the main tip for this game don't rush the story it's too short and gets hard quick if you havnt upgraded the magnum opus

yeah like i got up to the point to get to gastown then i spent a while just taking camps and stuff,even before i moved the story at a snail's pace,made the game more fun,and now i started it up after a while and completed the rest in around 5hrs

I'm not shocked at all when I saw scrotus in this mission because I dont remember seeing the chainsaw's blade tied up around his head, you can see it in the loading screen sometimes.

This isn't a game that you'd want to play strictly for the story. It's all about exploring the different areas, raiding camps, scavenging, racing, upgrading your vehicle and Max himself. Personally, I loved what it offered. I got plenty of rare Achievements too. Sadly, some of them involved tasks required to finish the game, which not many did not.

I finally did the race last night after days of trying. I followed others tips of no rims, medium armour, the most upgraded tires, exhaust, fully upgraded thunderspoon and try to take him out early and ignore other cars.

why medium armor?

@@grasshopper0274 You want acceleration. I guess you could do it with 5th or 6th armor option but it's a lot more difficult. With 4th armor option you'll not have problems staying in shooting range. If you do it properly you should be able to destroy his car very quickly.

what worked for me was max exhaust max suspension max tires, pretty much max everything you can get before gastown, but no ramming grill and max armour. speed wasn’t an issue as i had everything else

Took 3 tries on this one. I managed to get Scrotus' truck with less than 10 seconds left. The track is the worst enemy in this, not the cars.

actually. I think the trick is Not to look at and target the other vehicles, stay close and focus all your thunderpoon's on Stank Gum's truck. It's actually possible to get a direct hit on him right off the go if your fast enough

Holy shit that race was a royal pain in the ass, the track is awful and stank gum's car is fast as shit, if you crash and loose him you're screwed, took me 4 tries and I got it seconds before my car exploded, the second worst mission is driving that truck for Pink Eye

Strip the car down to its base components, and use the best engine you have. You don’t need much armor if any at all in this mission, since you have so much thunder to take care of the other vehicles.

Today i completed this mission ,this game is one of ma awsome find.what a game.This mission was super annoying in the begining,but thank God i finisehed it and did thrown away the game.This game is a master peice.Put boaster in the start of the race and dnt try to lock on the target,it automatically locks on the car just press harpoon round button and u wil do it

I agree about the car handling. I find it frustrating that if I take the armour off the car is fast but I can't control it and its vulnerable. If the armour, rims etc are fully upgraded the car is too slow. It took me ages to do the speed demon death run mission.
