I think the PS is the most forgiving 98 on the market. Yes, you feel when you mishit the sweet spot, which is good information for the player, but they are still very forgiving in that case because the balls are not going short like with some other rackets in that category like blades or radicals. Also the spin potential is top notch and the benchmark in that control oriented category, although it ist a very tight 16/19. highly recommended for anyone looking for a versatile, forgiving and also very powerful 98 racket, if you can handle the high sw

hi there TennisGuy! How would you compare the Strikes to the pure aero 98, ito racket speed, forgiveness? I have the Blade 9 18x20 and like its predictability and stable feel, like i did with the RF97 PS v13. I might even like it more than my Yones 97D (320gr).

Hi I have the Pro V9 16-19glossy and very solid raquet , but funny enough i was at Decathlon and got curios of the TR 960 and tested and bought, easy raquet to play and better handling, BUT less power and less solid and even if i put leather grip and 2 grams on each side at 10-12 the ball is more faster but than it looses in handling. Any ideas on how to make this raquet more performant without giving up the nice handling that he has...) Thanks

no idea why the two rackets are always compared, for me two completely different rackets! I played all the PS and loved it but the new is different. the SW is not playeble anymore for me as a one hander. all my tester had a SW over 330. that's crazy

I agree. Different rackets for different players. The Pure Strikes are just step above in the "heavy feeling". They are more pro players rackets, not for everyone. Higher SW is also something that makes these rackets stand out from the competition. It's actually quite weird from Babolat that they make such demanding rackets for the general public. I think they should make a more generous and easier hitting Pure Strikes next time.

Blade has definitely more free power, which I'm talking about. The power that is easy to generate even when playing in defence. Strikes have more plowthrough, but that's something very different. Plowthrough = higher swingweight and heavier shots when you swing through.
