When I decided to spend big bucks on a high-end EDC 9mm, I chose the C2 because I cut my teeth on the 1911. To date, I have over 1500 rounds thru the C2 and can't make it malfunction. In addition, I put a Holosun 508 on it and can stand and hammer a steel target at 50 yards as fast as I can PRESS the sweet trigger. You can't go wrong with either one.

The night I bought my EDCX9 I was deadset on getting the C2. I didn't give it a second thought and changed my mind last second. The X9 was the right choice.

This will be interesting, both the instructors at my range said they prefer the EDCX9 hands down. Additionally the mag cost of the Wilson is significantly better than the Staccato. I personally haven't felt a Staccato, but after feeling the Wilson I would be more than happy to own one.

Great review and comments. Anybody arguing with you needs to understand that you’re just expressing what you found and I for one appreciate it. I have owned both guns and I currently only owned the EDCX9 if that says something. In fact, I went back and bought another EDCX9 in 3.25 inches. Keep up the great content.

Went in for the wilson and ended up with the c2. Wc grip felt better but the c2 was lighter. So for edc I went lighter everything els was top notch on both was a hard choice and can't go wrong with either imo.

Wilson is a step up on the staccato. Wilson is handmade and one person does all the work on it. Quality control is top notch!!! and no grip safety is the way better

Why don’t you try a PHLSTER floodlight holster they make them to be retention adjustable and they fit to your weapon light I have had no issues fitting any pistol I want in my IWB floodlight for modlite pl350.

What length barrel on the Wilson? IMO a higher capacity means more weight towards the rear and increases the lift when firing. I’d opt for a longer barrel or a lead sled. We’re putting more weight between ammunition and sights and all towards the rear. It’s making it move more.

Any holster that the Staccato fits in should host the EDCX9. I’ve got the Legacy firearms for the Staccato C2 and it holds the EDCX9 perfectly. I also have a Bul Armory SAS 3.25 UL COMP that also goes in the same holster. Three for the price of one. All with the TLR8 light.

I agree. I had to jettison my C2 to afford my Wilson. I bought the Wilson Experior instead of the EDCx9 but almost the same. Great video!

Shoot the C2 w/ the X300 attached back to back so it's a more 🍎 2 🍎 comparison. The extra weight makes a difference.

LAS concealment ronin 3.0 is a sidecar style Kydex on par with T1C holsters. Check it out. It’s what I carry my EDCx9 without a light. I think another commenter though pointing out the MSP holster from T1C would be your best choice. However not sure they would fit the Mag. Double check first

The Wilson is definitely snappier. I totally agree with you. Most people would have no regrets with either pistol. I have shot the Wilson, but I don't own one.

If your still need a light bearing appendix leather holster for the Wilson check out MTR Custom Leather. Not only do they make one it is the nicest holster I have ever owned and I have owned a lot. BTW great video I have owned both of these. Fit and finish goes to Wilson but everyone who shoots my C2 is like why does this pistol shoot and feel so amazing.

I own both of these as well, I’ve owned both for a while and I have a hard to deciding which I like better cause that keeps changing. The holster issue was a problem so I carried the C2 which I ended up shooting more. The accuracy and speed of both are just amazing. I agree on the grip, the Wilson is nicer.

I use the Streamlight TLR7 Sub light on both mine and my Wilson will work in my Staccato holster for that light.

I may have to go check out the wilson again (I've actually seen one of those in person, that's what started my 2011/1911 craze) what'd be the odds of having you run them both in a bill drill and showing us the groups afterwards for a controllability measure?

You have to send your pistol back to Wilson and they have to cut the frame and fit it to the pistol. Then they refinish the pistol.

I hate that US made products are quickly being overtaken by less expensive, superior Chinese products. I have tons of holosuns and a few trijicons. The holosuns I've had no issues and I've abused the hell out of them and if they do break, I'm confident that the company will take care of replacement or I can afford to buy another. My trijicons I've have nothing but issues. I've now gone through 3 RMRs. The first was DOA from the factory, the second, under recoil, the windage turret actually popped out the body of the optic, and third I had issues with the dot flickering on and off despite putting new batteries in it. I hate that US products don't have the quality they used to have, cause I'd much rather buy American than support the CCP.

I have holosun on both my pdp pro and vp9sk the mount and optic for the sk isn’t flush which doesn’t really bother me too much. How is it on the C2? What holosun did you go with on yours? I shot a 229 sao and a Wilson. The biggest thing I took was the weight. Both shot excellent triggers are very close. I went from one to the other without any issues

I think people forget why Staccato, Chambers customs and others go with the polymer grip instead of the metal grips. For me, give me the C2, stipple the grip(Darkside precision), get it ported and you can't beat it plus you'll still have money left over.

The Wilson X9 guns are over 90% compatible with 1911 holsters. Probably have to adjust the tension. I know on 2011’s and duty rigs there is a lot of holster crossover.

I have not read all the comments yet. But tier 1 concealment makes an appendix for the edc with that light. The model is MSP. It’s a holster designed to fit around whatever light your running rather than the gun model.

The flat-tec has a lot to do with that recoil. The polymer grip wil soak up more recoil than all metal/ alloy.

One thing though, they don't entirely compare, very very different execution. The Staccato is very much a 2011. Wilson took it as a starting point and started diverging, it's more 2011 like but no longer a 2011. It's not just the lack of a grip safety but the lock up that's different, the grip is different etc.

Everytime I hear someone talk about a grip safety not engaging or possible not engaging makes me laugh. The grip safety is passive as long as you have a thumb that can wrap around the grip it disengages 100% of the time. Unless you've messed with it.

I won’t carry normal Glocks, Walthers etc. anymore. Just isn’t the same

Interestingly taking your point further, I have a couple of high end motorcycles instead of owning more economic versions, I suppose it’s personal preference of Horses for Courses
