I’ve talked to a few holster makers and many of them like to add a little material on the short barreled guns to keep the holster from wanting to flip outward whenever you undo your pants, or bend over a certain wax etc... I actually experienced that with a Glock 43 holster I had. Soon as my belt was loosened, it would want to flip outward.

Just came across your reviews of the EDC X9S, I oddly enough have / share the same two favorite carry guns DVC Carry and X9S. I utilize Garret Holsters and really have appreciated them. Leather Lining seems to be a little more forgiving to wear on the pistol and kydex holds the guns well. I have not noticed any holster wear on the guns "yet"

The precision holster I ordered in November 2023 bottom sits flush with the barrel. Looks like precision fixed the problem.

check out the skullcrush holsters. Awesome...Those Kydex holsters will wear the finish off your gun in no time. Skullcrush with leather inside is a gem.

Its their 1.5" clip I believe. That said, while I do like the RHT holster, I prefer the Tenicor these days. Worth looking into IMHO.

While I am waiting on a VersaMax II from Milt Sparks I am using a carbon fiber IWB from Hawg Holsters with the UltiClip. Great little holster for my EDC X9S. Ryan Grizzle is making me a High Country for OWB. I find the EDC X9S conceals well even OWB. But I am not an appendix IWB fan, more of a 3:30 - 4:00 for me with a cant. I am not overly concerned with printing.

I have that same one but mine rattles around and is about 1/2 inch to long. I cant tighten it down enough to prevent rattling. if I tighten it down to much I struggle to get it out of the holster. I am returning to Wilson for refund.

I just bought my EDC X9S. Love the gun except I have one issue. There’s a slight click as I hit the wall on the trigger pull. I believe it’s the disconnector moving forward. Never heard this on any other 1911/2011’s before

I ordered the one for the X9S, and the receipt says it is for the X9S. It's possible that they sent the wrong one still though. I'll go ahead and email them and see what they have to say.

You might take a look at Urban Carry - Lock Leather IWB. The length of the one that I have for my EDC X9 is perfect and is a rigid leather.

precision holster from wilson combat rides too high and it prints too much. i can't find a good holster for the x9s atm. looking for 1 clip holser with the clip a little higher than the precision one.

While not perfect, the RHT holster is very good, and I don't have issues with printing. Have you tried adjusting the clips on your precision holster? The shorter clip with the single screw has another hole in the holster that will make that side ride deeper. The longer side can also be moved up, but you will need to drill an additional hole if you want to have two screws holding that clip in place. Any good 2011 holster should work, but it may require some slight modifications.

@@instylecasesinstylecases7239 They only have one IWB option, its their IWB holster. You will have to email them to get the EDC X9S version, as it is not on their website for some reason.

Its all personal preference. I know people that gladly carry full sized pistols, and are happy with that choice.

Such a deterrent. Wilson puts out a kind of duty 2011 and hardly any of the good duty holster companies make a light bearing holster for em. Like safariland, tenicor, tier one, las. Leather is for fudds. Hopefully the staccato p/ c2 works.

Look at my newer videos. Tenicor has Staccato holsters that work. The length of the holster is slightly longer than it needs to be, but that helps keep the holster from flipping up, so it's a worthwhile tradeoff.
