The game of Basketball has been my passion since I was 5 years old. I grew up as a kid watching my dad's recorded VHS tapes of playoff games through the 70s and 80s, and collected all the Basketball cards. Something about the game and what it represents just hooked me from a very young age.
My love for the game only continues to grow as time goes on. I love studying and analyzing the game, with an unbiased perspective. Feel free to subscribe, follow me on social media, and celebrate this amazing game and it's rich history with me!
I post videos every week on NBA history, predictions, hypothetical scenarios and current NBA topics.

Where do rank Wilt Chamberlain in your Top 10 All-Time? NOTE: Didn’t have time to create a playoff reaction video, so I’ll drop my thoughts here in case you’re curious… Nuggets Vs Lakers 1, The Lakers OFFICIALLY live and die with AD. 2, Why tf was LeBron so reluctant to establish himself in the 4th?! Took his first 4th quarter shot with 1 minute left! Gave me Game 7 Kobe vibes in the 2006 Playoffs against Phoenix. 3, For the love of all that is good, STOP SHOOTING quick 3s, Russell! 4, Jokic keeps giving AD space at the 3 point line for good reason… he bricks them all. He shot 27% from the 3 this season… stop making the Joker’s job easy by shooting them. AD is one of the best post up 4s of All-Time, so just keep working from there. 5, WHERE TF WAS THIS VERSION OF KCP IN LA?!?!?! 🤬 6, Lakers won the free throw battle 19-6, and Denver didn’t shoot a SINGLE free throw in the 2nd half, despite their being plenty of contact…. Seems fishy. 7, Jamal Murray doesn’t get enough love 8, The Lakers gave their best shot in the first half, and still lost. I hate to say it, but this series goes 5 games at the most. Timberwolves Vs Suns 1, Ant is a baaaad man. 2, Minnesota’s Team defense is insane. Rudy’s value can clearly be seen on D, but I think a lot of people are starting to realize that many other guys deserve some of that credit. 3, KD got absolutely embarrassed by a star player much younger than him. I expect Durant to respond with a HUGE performance in Game 2. 4, No one needs this series more than KD. Losing on Super Teams is always bad, but if this squad gets bounced in the 1st Round, I’ll be fully convinced that Durant is never escaping Steph Curry’s shadow. Knicks Vs 76ers 1, Prayers up for Joel Embiid. Even with his likely return in the series, I have a hard time seeing him playing with the same aggressiveness and explosiveness after that scare… It’s gotta be getting in his head at this point, similarly to Derrick Rose after the ACL tear in 2012. 2, As a general basketball fan, I can’t tell you how happy it makes me to see Madison Square Garden electric again with playoff Basketball. The NBA is a better product when the Knicks are good. 3, Philly let this game slip away. You can’t expect to be a championship team when you’re losing games where the opposing team shoots 39% from the field. Been trusting the process for all these years, yet it seems like the same old story. 4, Maxey has an opportunity to rise to superstardom. With question marks around Embiid, he needs to look to be aggressive and shoulder EVEN more of the load offensively. 5, Brunson should be happy with the victory, but he’s trying to do much. Nerves seem to be effecting his shot. He needs to settle down and let the game come to him. Cavs Vs Magic 1, Having the first 2 minutes of the broadcast have no commentary was AMAZING. Man, I love Playoff atmosphere and this beautiful game! 2, Orlando is a good quality team in the WRONG era. They’re extremely lacking on shooters, and that weakness was exploited in this game. Addressing that should be priority number 1 in this upcoming offseason. 3, It feels like Donovan Mitchell has been flying under the radar since his 70 point game. This is his opportunity to put himself back on the map and start being treated like the star that he is. 4, This series should be dominated by Cleveland. They had 18 Turnovers, bench was 4/19, and the team shot 27% from 3… yet they won by 14. This series is going 5 games at the most, probably a sweep though.

Yeah it seems fishy that nuggets got zero free-throws in second half. Over past 2 seasons, Lakers have shot 1104 more free-throws than their opponents. Knicks are second on that list with only 470 more free-throws than opponents. And people have the nerve to say refs cheat the Lakers out of games. Lmao.

Wilt Chamberlain was one of the most dominant players to ever play basketball, and the greatest record breaker in NBA history. I don’t think Wilt gets enough credit on how much he popularized basketball. He was the NBA’s first mega star. Not to mention he paved the way for other black athletes to get into the NBA in an era where it was hard for black athletes to break out. Wilt was a legend.

He has the same amount of rings as Hakeem. But there are still a lot of people who consider Hakeem as the GOAT center. Hakeem may have won back-to-back and even led the lowest seeded championship team to victory but Wilt still has a case when he led the only team that eliminated Bill's superteam Celtics in the postseason when the latter were at their peak. Wilt won his second ring against prime Kareem when Wilt was past his prime dealing with injuries. Hakeem was also past his prime when he won his championships but he was still pretty close to his peak form while Wilt in his second championship run was suffering from knee injuries and then retired a few seasons later.

What a slacker!! Imagine only scoring 58 points after scoring more than 60 points the previous four games. I guess he was too tired after scoring 100 points the previous game. I have always said that if Wilt had the drive and determination to win that MJ had, the gap between him, and number two, in the G.O.A.T. conversation, would've been insurmountable.
@UnconventionalReasoning

@Fernando-vg4ym
@Fernando-vg4ym 23 күн бұрын
@@UnconventionalReasoning To say that Bill Russell's Celtics were "generally a better team" is one of the biggest understatements I've ever heard. Those Russell Celtics had five or six Hall-of-Famers (not including Russell). Wilt himself said he "didn't want to hurt opposing players" because of his strength. Now, tell me, do you think MJ cared about hurting anybody else? In fact he wanted to humiliate his opponents. MJ wanted to win and, everybody better get out of his way. Sorry, Wilt didn't have that in him.
@UnconventionalReasoning
@UnconventionalReasoning 23 күн бұрын
@@Fernando-vg4ym The 1968 Sixers might have been the better team, and the 1969 Lakers with West and Baylor were almost certainly the better team, with a disastrous coach. I do not consider MJ's need to hurt other players, including his teammates, as a positive. Wilt approach of avoiding "bully-ball" like Shaq was also partly due to the rules, and probably also due to the racial context of his era.
@Fernando-vg4ym
@Fernando-vg4ym 23 күн бұрын
@@UnconventionalReasoning Look, in 15 years of playing professional basketball, MJ never hurt anybody. Nor did he ever intentionally try to hurt anybody. One of the reasons I hold MJ over Wilt (who happens to be my second favorite basketball player of all time) is that Wilt underperformed in the playoffs. His playoff scoring dropped dramatically when it mattered the most. But, physically, NOBODY comes close to Wilt. He was, and still is, considered the strongest to ever play the game. Combine that with his jumping ability and speed and, well, he was untouchable.
@UnconventionalReasoning
@UnconventionalReasoning 23 күн бұрын
@@Fernando-vg4ym Wilt could hurt players in a way MJ couldn't, simply because he weighed 50% more. MJ did punch teammates at practice, intentionally. It is necessary to consider WIlt's playoff scoring in context, especially with his role on his different teams. Wilt had three playoff series with over 30 rebounds per game, all against Russell when he was with the Sixers. In the 1967 series against Boston, his numbers were 21.6, 32.0, 10.0. This is what his coach asked him to do, and he delivered.

People say that Kareem’s sky hook was unblockable from primary defenders, but Wilt blocked one (at this was at the tail end of his career at that point). Also, there were several rule, some since revoked (no dunking in college is one of those) and some still exist (can’t throw over the backboard). The can’t throw over the backboard rule case because the 76s were working on an inbound play in the offseason, and the NBA got wind of it and preemptively banned it before they could do it in a game.

You did not misrepresent history, I was around when he played, I saw the old and the new, none like Wilt, not even close and not even Mike. I believe one of the reasons that he doesn't get the accolades as he should have is because of the press. Many in the press did not like him, especially during that period when black men were supposed to be quiet and Wilt ilt was not. The press created a negative narrative around Wilt, and you see some of that narrative still being spewed to this day, because when the writers and historians look back, they often read the bad narratives. Don't get me wrong, there was some that gave him his props, but during that time period, Wilt was the show, and history shows that when he did have a good cast of characters around him, he did win. The first half of his career when people accused him of scoring too much, those people did not realize that he was asked to score, and he did it well. The second half of his career, he was asked to cut back on scoring and focus on defense and rebounding, and he did that well. Imagine if he focused on scoring his entire career, LeBron James will still be chasing the record.

You’ve heard of “hack a shaq” well in Wilts era Wilt literally was being attacked during games but he persevered without much complaints as he was so strong and I’m sure he handed some punishments back. There is was an incident that Rudy Larusso elbowed Wilt so hard that his top front teeth were pushed into his skull! He played the next game! Imagine any of today’s NBA pansies enduring such an injury and playing the very next game. Wilt should have his own separate page in NBA history and any records broken by today’s players should have an ascorist stated that the record was was broken in an easier way softer and lacks rules! Yes I’ll say it again, he played in an era when men played like men with pride and dedication! Speaking of three pointers, i think the sideline & corner three should be eliminated & the three point arc needs to be backed up by 1' & make that a 4 point shot. If they want to keep a three point shot, they can shade the arc & the shaded area can be worth three & only a small part of the sideline can be worth three. Post ups, back to the basket moves & big men working on the blocks will return & the court will still be wide open & not clogged like in the 80s, 90s & 2000s

I always found one of the most interesting things about Wilt Chamberlain is that he, as one of the most dominant scorers to ever play the game, underperformed in the playoffs stat wise compared to the regular season where most of the greatest players elevate their game. Wilt averaged 7.6 points less per game for a career average of 22.5 ppg in the playoffs vs 30.1 for the regular season despite averaging more playing time than the regular season. 47.2 mpg vs 45.8 mpg. Shaq for comparison averaged more points in the playoffs in his career with a 24.3 average vs Wilt’s 22.5 despite playing about 10 less minutes per game. 47.2 mpg Vs 37.5 mpg I wonder how many more championships Wilt would’ve won if he averaged one to two more points in the playoffs than the regular season. That would almost be 10 more points per game that he would have averaged in the playoffs than what he did in his career in the playoffs.

It is important to consider the two halves of Wilt's career, through the 1966 playoffs and after that. His points/gm dropped below 25 for each of the six full seasons in the second portion, because his role on the 76ers and Lakers teams was different than what it had been on the Warriors. 104 of his 160 playoff games occurred in the second portion.

Come on friend do you know basketball at all?Wilt was the fourth scoring option with the Lakers.Of course his playoff average is going to drop. His coaches somehow got the bright idea that having someone who shoots 50- 60 percent from the field take less shots so guys who shoot 45 percent from the field could take more shots was the formula for winning. Wilt is lucky he won any championships with that kind of coaching.

its impressive and i dont ignore his olympian level of physical abilities, but we are talking about 50s and 60s nba, with 8 12 teams, most were not even pross, before aba nba merge... we seen that all stats before merge werent replicated after that even by same players, many rules changed, those records cant be put to todays numbers and compared... same goes for all sports from football to basketball, in past diferent rules and diferent player gaps between greats and average players. nba really should count records after nba aba merge to make it realistic
@_drawkward_

The ABA didn't exist until 1967, so... If you want to take the "split" era differently from others, I think that is fair. It is very difficult to compare records from the leagues, etc. Wilt's greatest years were before the split occurred, against the best talent the world had to offer. I look at eras in their own context as well (offensive fouls were called mercilessly in his era, for example), but disregarding his achievements against the best players in the world because he was born too early is a bit unfair. The players he was playing against were, in fact, "pros". The only reason some had other jobs is because they didn't get astronomical paychecks for playing sports in the old days. It was the same for every league. Also, bear in mind that these performances occurred when Wilt wasn't allowed to eat in the same restaurants or stay in the same hotels as his coaches or white teammates. The mental fortitude of the old-school segregation-era athletes was amazing.

@@_drawkward_ so even with all your comment, my point is still relevant, you agree and rules were way diferent, and nba had tons of amateur players, that wilt was one of tallest players in nba back then. i dont try to make him look worse, but 50s 60s records should be compared to according era and rules times, 70s 80s 90s had major rule changes that changed game crazy big. we seen harden abuse rules and scoring 50 many times, one rule change and he is mediocre at best in league, same was for wilt, he was still decent in lakers early 70s, but because of way higher amount of good players and diferent rules he could not camp under basket and get 70 pts 40 rebound anymore, not to mention tactics changes etc. Dont forget that wilt was from Harlem Globetrotters, they were known from tricksters, theatrics and abusing rules, he knew all the tricks in book, so for other guy who defended him and was at best 6.6, 6.7with average athleticism, was mision impossible. its like putting prime shaq or hakeem in amateur league somewhere else in world, we seen how dwight howard old version of him scoring 40 50 and getting similar amount of rebounds in asian leagues, that are way more skilled than 50s 60s players

@@NostalgicMem0riesif you think the other players were that short you should go look at some rosters. It is just not true. Pretty much every team had 7 footers and the average height of nba players is literally one inch higher now than in 1960. You make some relevant points, but some of your information is way off. Most of Wilt’s points came from fadeaway jumpers and hook shots. He was not allowed to play like Shaq; he was much more of a finesse player.
