Wiltshire’s New Rifle Range?!

Merkel & Blaser - Ever wonder which is faster?
We visited Wiltshires new running boar range at the Widdington Shoot. Using the ranges Merkel RX Helix with open sights was great fun, as was finally testing a merkel next to a Blaser R8.
However the highlight of the day was watching everyone smile as we shot the Lee-Speed at the end of the day.

Depends which range you go to, some are super super serious and other of cause stick with the rules but are much more relaxed (and more fun)

@@dwi2921bruv if you live in the uk you would understand. A gun license is the hardest license to get and would take a year or more to approve. Most rifles are banned and only certain calibres are allowed. In England there are hardly any ranges and it’s rare to find rifle ranges it’s mainly shotgun ranges

Love that Lee Speed, I have an almost identical one (no top rib and not provided by Army& Navy) that I sometimes use for drive hunts here in Sweden. And I reckon with some training it wouldn't be far off in that speed competition :)

Lee Speed, in my opinion one of the best looking vintage rifles ever produced, ( I have one to go with my Army & Navy Martini 303 rifle )

Blaser and Merkel are both fine a newer Company from Germany Cologne is Steel Action it is also a Straightpull Rifle i have an HS in 308 and i it is so much fun to shoot. When you have the chance to get one of these in your Hands you should take a closer Look / the Action and Handcocking is smoother as on the Blasers and Merkels the Trigger can simple be adjusted from 600-2000gr and it is not so expensive than the Blaser and Merkel in Germany you can get it for round about 2300€
