Woodland Solo Camp, Swiss Army Folding Candle Lantern, Polish Poncho Hot Tent, Wiltshire Man

Solo Overnight Camp in my modified Polish poncho (Lavu) shelter.
I used my Woods walker folding titanium stove for warmth a cooking the main meal and for gentle ambiance and illumination I used a Swiss Army Folding Candle Lantern.
This Lantern was a kind gift some time ago but I haven't used it until recently, and when I did I was pleasantly surprised at how well it worked. It gave a wonderful ambiance and once my eye's had become accustomed to the low light levels it was actually quite bright enough. I would encourage anyone to give a candle lantern a try but I will say this, not all candles are the same, some burn brighter than others so experiment :)
The trail Camera I used in this video is called a "Power Extra 12mp", it is quite old now and there are much better one's available, I should shop around if I were you:)

It is fairly easy as you can see to enjoy some time in nature. However, I lived this way for two years, and wet wintery windy weather can be a true challenge, got to be one day ahead, be bedded down before dark, have lots of water and dry kindling, and be prepared to spend lots of time sleeping. When the ice crystal glisten on the inside of your tent, you better have a really warm quilt.

Merry Christmas Susan, Yes the lack of groundsheet can be a drawback especially in warmer weather, but having said that when you run a stove even in cold weather all the creepy crawlys wake, in close proximity. Don't normally have too much trouble though
