Wilwood DPHA Brake Kit Install (Integra/Civic)

In today's video, I installed the Wilwood DPHA 4 Piston forged front BBK along with some Power Stop Z23 vented/slotted front calipers. I also replaced my rear OEM Nissin brakes with brand new Power Stop rebuilt calipers and rotors and pads. To deliver the fluid I went with Goodridge Stainless Steel brake lines. What size master cylinder are you running? I'm considering this upgrade and wondered if a 15/16" master cylinder (what I currently have) would be enough for the pedal to not be mushy with these calipers. I will also be running SS lines.

I never re use the rotor screws. They're only there for assembly at the factory to be easier for the loaded calipers to be installed.

No Budget Racing they just help keep the rotor tight for assembly really. A lug nut works just as well. Lol

I always use a 13/15 mm wrench and a lugnut to hold then down. Btw if you want to bleed by yourself take a long hose from the bleeder and put it into a cup or bottle with brake fluid in it with the bleeder loose and just pump the pedal a bunch. Will let ait out into the fluid in your cup but won't let air in as long as the hose is sunbmerged.

celso croissier tadeo absoluetly not with the DPHA kit in this video. You can apparently with the Wilwood Dynapro kit or another alrernative like Stop Tech or another high end brand. These DPHA calipers will clear most 15 inch wheels though.

celso croissier tadeo not exacly. You’ll have to do some research for that. ITR is a great upgrade on a budget. Allows you to run the 282mm rotor.

Bleeding pattern is actually criss cross, RR, FL, RL, FR

From what I’ve seen and everyone I know is furthest to closest from the master. More fluid in the line for the furthest brake so more chance for air. I’ve seen that a pattern dosent matter at all but, seems like a common standard.

i dont think this is considered a "big" brake kit, more like a 4 piston caliper replacement with the same size rotors. At least for the integra.

@@nicholasmarlow4359 what make this a big brake kit then so i can interpret it correctly? I would expect the extra 3 pistons to do a slightly better job. You could have went with mini cooper rotors and a rebuilt type r caliper, or a dynalite caliper with an 11 inch rotor
