It took me so long to get over Capriati in Australia 😔 I stanned Graf way before there was a Hingis so the French Open never bothered me. But yes so many other missed opportunities. Perhaps had she played in the 70s 80s. Got over powered and refused to amp up her serve

Injuries and a 2 years suspension ruined her single career. She's still won 25 Grand Slams. 20 in double and 5 in single. She could have achieved much more. Still a legend 😑. The biggest talent I've seen in my life. She did it all on pure talent. Martina didn't need steroids like the baboon sisters 😑.

Serving 2-0 , 30-15 Jana whiffed on a forehand and that was it. Had she made it to 3-0 she would’ve had the momentum . As crushing a defeat this was for Jana she greeted her doubles partner at the net genuinely happy for her like a sister . I hate that her life was. Cut short but at least she won the following year

One of a few players who can play tennis beautifully, perhaps she’s the smartest tennis player that ever lived, but she wasnt able to keep up with the new trend in tennis which was more of a power game, at first she was able to outsmart these hard hitters, but when players like Serena Williams started infusing power with extreme precision, thats when Hingis’ career started to decline plus she was also plagued by injuries.

I think Hingis is not playing to chase records, she is just playing with the abilities she has. and surprisingly, her confidence is very strong to fight at the age of 16 plus her intelligence on court. no wonder, she was able to hold on to the no. 1 position for a long time. being muscular is not her dream to beat hard hitters because she just wants to play as she is.
