Meet MAE.
She's a 1992 Mini 1275cc Sprite with Works rally inspired styling.Boasting a host of recent renovations and upgrades.
She's recently had… Top end engine refurbishment (head skimmed and head gasket) & carb service along with a new K&N air filter, New Fletcher radiator, New Hankook Battery , New genuine mechanical fuel pump, New fuel tank, New Distributor & performance HT leads, NGK plugs. Wiring loom has been re-spaded to ensure reliability. Polished Rocker cover, New centre exit exhaust, (sounds fantastic) Disc brake conversion (stops VERY well!), New 10” steelies wrapped in new Yokohama rubber. (With spare in the boot), Bilstein performance shock absorbers, New brightwork throughout (grill, mirrors, bumpers, lights surrounds, door handles etc) , New Wipac spotlights on the front.
Another prominent upgrade to the vehicle is the brand-new interior, continuing a period black and red theme on the inside certainly sets it apart form the standard 90’s cloth with a nice deep red fitted carpet, this sits above a layer of sound deadening material to dampen the rattles and reverberations within the cabin. As far as the seat and door card upholstery it’s sporting the classic Corbeau bucket seats matching the newly upholstered rear seat and door cards courtesy of Optimise Automotive with white stitching and piping to match the roof & Wheels. To really finish it off there is a touch of classic Porsche with a Momo prototipo steering-wheel furthering the driving experience whilst not looking too out of place and ‘modified’, this happens also to be the theme of the car being an OEM plus style whilst maintaining a classic and authentic look, it captures elements from the Rally Monte Carlo vehicles.
The car was painted in it’s previous ownership, as you can see it looks great in photos. The underside of the car has had a coat of wax oil after having a thorough clean. All body panels, floor panels and subframes are solid. Something I really like about MAE is the fact it still has all it’s original factory glass and light lenses which are all etched with the registration number of the car, a nice touch on a car that’s 30 years old.
She's just been serviced using premium oil & filters and had a coolant change before passing her MOT.

Definitely needs the 4.5” cooper s wheels. Looks good though. Wider wheels, yellow door squares, mk3 rear lights, roof rack and more spotlights 👌🏼
