The .375 H&H Magnum was developed in London by arms makers Holland & Holland in 1912. I bought my Model 70 Winchester .375 in 2009, nearly a century later. It's designed for African dangerous game such as Cape buffalo, lion, and leopard, and could be used for elephant in a pinch. I live in Central Ohio, where there is no such dangerous game, so I have to find more creative applications for my .375--shooting a modified OPOTA qualification, for instance. This was not only challenging, but a lot of fun. I suppose I may be the only peace officer in Ohio to run a DGR through the Patrol Rifle course of fire.
