You can defo hear the sound barrier break. Its the first thing I thought when watched. Be cool if you could do some sort of dB test. Cool vid dude, stay safe and well

The shots with the lighter pellets will be louder regardless of if they break the sound barrier because a lot of the power is exiting the barrel due to the alloy pellets not conforming to the barrel rifling properly and the pellet leaving the barrel before all the air behind the pellet has been expelled at optimal levels.

I use these just to test max velocity test. And to here the crack of the sound barrier.. Great video. Fairly new here keep up the great work.

Another cracking video, I have thought about buying lightweight pellets but I don't think I will bother now. Some nice results in the speed side of things. Keep your arm's in the air.....

I guess there are people who like to shoot at maximum velocity, but there are others who simply do not want lead around the house for whatever reasons, rational or irrational. For such people these pellets might be the answer, if they can fly accurately. I put forth that they ARE quite accurate, when shot at lower velocity. Even my shaky hands can group them a centimeter at 10 meters, out of a cheap Daisy multi-pump, a break-barrel pistol and a de-tuned springer rifle. Oh, and they make them in .22, which I also find accurate again out of multi-pump and de-tuned spring air rifles. I do enjoy your enlightening videos, and humbly suggest to try the lead free pellets again in a lower velocity gun. Cheers, Mike

I have some of those pellets too and the only thing they're good for Is getting a high number over the Crony, they came out of my rifle at 1300 fps and they cracked so loud that the neighbors called the police, I couldn't hit the broadside of a barn with them.

Those might prove interesting in my new Daisy 2840, smooth bore single stroke pump gun. With the sun behind me in early morning or late afternoon, they might be quite visible heading toward the target. If accurate at lower speeds, that could be quite fun. I might have to wait for a sale on them, however.

You could use a JSB pellet or H&N with the same weight . Why did you choose the heavyer one for comparison ?

The crack is the sound barrier being broken I think?the sound barrier depends on things like your altitude,etc..

It was interesting, only 177 but at 6 yards would be fun in my co2 Gamo 85.

very good video thank you I also think that those superfast pellets are not good for the spring in your rifle
@stevebettany87784 жыл бұрын
I wonder with these pellets moving so fast in the barrel could that damage a springer air rifle due to the lack of back pressure?
@markhomer76284 жыл бұрын
Funny you should mention that , I was thinking , would the skirt spread under pressure up the barrel?( Being an harder material ) Forming a " seal " of type .. if not , that would cause damage over time , because as everyone well knows you ain't supposed to fire a Springer unloaded , and this essentially would be like firing " half sealed " .. food for thought
@FlyboyHelosim4 жыл бұрын
Probably and that's a contributing factor why shots are so loud.

Interesting vid , so what use are they in the American market? As they have unlimited power at there disposal ... These pellets are diabolically inaccurate in a sub12 .. what would they be like in something like a 19ftlb .177 ? .. they , going by your test , would be useless .. ( as they are in sub12 ) ... Glad you've enlightened us , at considerable expense ... We should by rights , have a whip round for you too recoup some money ... Instead though , have our love and best wishes , this goes for all if us ... Cheaper as well Interesting vid ... Liked it a lot ...

Mark Homer I have guns but recently bought an air pistol to kill quietly pests. I have groundhogs digging under my deck and and concrete slab patio. I am afraid they will undermine them and the foundation. Having a gun shot ringing through the neighborhood would not do. Air pistol is better for this job. Also if you just like shooting air pellets are much much cheaper than even .22 rounds.

I have good accuracy with these in rifles in the 3 to 8 foot-pound power levels, guns like a Diana 25 or Haenel 311. I would not fire them in anything that went supersonic; the Remington rifle is definitely not suitable.

You have Tx200 and a remington express which is most accurate
