Your rifle looks like a Turnbull restoration ... or something very close... !! I reload my own using original cases and resized 32-20 cases... use coated bullets from Missouri bullet Co. Also use 4227 powder.

I'm 60 and have my great grandfathers 25-20 . I've never shot it cause its so loose. Maybe I'll wrap a towel around it and try it out .

I am not using gas checks. I haven't seen a need to as of yet. I won't be shooting it much anyway, because of the lack of available brass.

Those would be great lights I'm sure. My latest addition is the Nebo Slyde King 2K. It's an awesome light. I use it at work mostly. It's perfect for working in electrical panels or around or under dark machinery.

It looked like the reloads put much more smoke out of the barrel then the factory loads when the rifle was fired. Do you think this was due to unused powder?
