I think trigonometry is incredibly important but undervalued and understated. A lot of people say that they wished their high school had practical classes like autoshop or how to do your taxes, but I consider trigonometry just as valuable. Just the principle of small angle approximation and memorizing the unit circle can get you very far, as practically demonstrated in this video

I’ve been hand loading since I can remember and shot competitively in rifle, pistol, shotgun, and archery most of my life. I became an Air Force pilot in my early 20’s. When our instructors taught us how to use the runway headwind/cross-wind chart, I immediately became more concerned with using the chart to increase my hit percentage than I was with landing the airplane in a high crosswind! Look up runway headwind and crosswind chart on KZbin. Y’all might find it interesting.

Or better yet, print out a small one and attach it to the bottom of your DOPE card

Good one. I had trigonometry back in my high school, but never had a chance to apply that knowledge in practice until I started shooting LR.

Not a spoken word needed for a math class…brilliant

Remember when you thought you'd never use that stuff from school? Yeah, shooting beyond point blank range is applied mathematics. That Issac Newton character was really onto something!

Next: Stochastics and why Statistical Significance is challenging to establish with reloading and is often ignored (or abused) with reloading. But - a 95% confidence interval may also be up for debate. Thanks for the trig video!

Draw a quarter circle, mark in the angles, now draw a perpendicular line from the circumference angle point to the x - y line - visual no calculator needed.

I thought you might use the unit circle to explain why SIN(angle) and COS(angle) come up with the numbers they do.

Poor guy doesn't have enough sense to know he's not smart enough to understand why the video has no sound and needs no sound. Stick to a Red Rider my dude. Lol
