You're submitting a Wind Waker Randomizer race for SGDQ 2019. Andy & Ivan are submitting a SMZ3 (Super Metroid/Link to the Past Combo Randomizer) Co-op Run as well, and I though I heard rumblings about a Final Fantasy I Randomizer submission as well. I bring this all up because honestly I think they need to just have a straight up Rando Block this year in SGDQ 2019. That'd be awesome!! Hell, the one thing I was waiting all of AGDQ 2019 was the Final Fantasy IV Free Enterprise 4-Way Race, so I think they'd do good to accept more great rando submissions like yours.

I don't think they are suggesting a race for GDQ, just a randomiser speedrun. Races make a ton of sense for stream because it gets more viewers both both players. For GDQ, I think Linkus just wants to showcase that the randomiser doesnt have to be a 6+ hour run.

I fell asleep while watching this. But I was in a half awake half asleep state. But because the video was playing I was able to stay conscious but my body was paralyzed. It felt so weird. I even had a Sudo nightmare whilst still being aware I guess I also met my “sleep paralysis demon”. I don’t know what I’ll call it. It’s basically just a screen with a cropped pictures of my face on a post with one disembodied hand. Natsu Dragneel He used chest storage and failed the trick, his options were get that item location later when he has the Leaf or go back to his previous save file before opening the chest, and since that was the first thing he did, he reset the entire file. The race had already started so resetting the timer would not be allowed.

The 3min difference is legitimate, the timeloss was caused by gymnast failing the trick. Were this a non-race speedrun the timer would have reset but because it was a race he had to keep the timer going. The point of a randomiser race is that the runners have to just deal with bad luck, they can't just reset and adjust to save time. There are probably several points where both of them would have reset if they could just restart the timer. Your comment seems to suggest that the real difference in time is 5 minutes rather than 3, which is not really in the spirit of the race, and suggests that you have more authority than either of the runners of what the rules should be.
