For the life of me, I'll never figure out why the audio industry has all but abandoned the use of almost any transformers in audio circuitry. For starters (pun intended), in the audio input section, a 600:600 ratio isolation transformer is like magic. Literally eliminates all ground and spurious noise. In the final output section, God forbid your output transistors short and supply bias DC voltage to your speaker cabs. You'll be replacing voice coils. Whereas, a transformer to deliver the signal to your speakers, transformers do not pass solid DC voltage. Problem solved.

@@DonnieLuve I know a little known fact about warm sounding audio like from tube amps. It's not just the tubes that give you the warm, fuzzy. I've found out through research and R&D that transformers on the input and output stages incredibly changes the sound giving it a nice, highly dynamic sound.

Arash is the MAN :-) !! I found him from this video. I had a very expensive Laboratory Instrument that is End of Life, No parts or service available from the original manufacturer. A Transformer was burned out on one of the boards. I removed it and sent it to Arash. This was a very difficult transformer, completely vacuum coated in epoxy. It took him a long time to remove the epoxy and unwind all of the different voltage layers, counting as he removed each layer. In the end he did a great job. Unfortunately, it fixed the original problem but revealed another problem, so the instrument still is out of service. It was still worth the gamble. His price for the job was reasonable. A used instrument the same age, also End of Life is $6,000. A New instrument is $60,000. Thank You ***AAAA***

Why are ouput wires (the color wires) bigger then tiny wires u wound ur core with? Also, why do u need metal plates, what would happen if u wouldnt use them? Also does it matter how many u squize in there? PS: is there any lacker or glue or warnish that wouldnt delaminate over the years making transformer hum?

I also would be interested in a detailed listing of the parts (and their source) used in the making of this transformer. I thought that the transformer formula was in metric, such as core square CM. Also gauge of wire formula is as 700circ mils times current times duty cycle. If power not on all times during time period , then the gauge wire can be smaller. circ mils times % duty cycle. Also, if choosing a LARGER core than required, then there is less turns that have to be wound on bobbin because of formula. Assembling a low frequency transformer with E and I laminations can be interleaved, or separated , so as the top I set comes off, so as bobbin quickly removed for rewinding. The separate laminations type requires strap over unit to hold together. The old style radio chokes were like that method.
