If you buy tape from 3M 2080 range, there are tiny valleys in the glue underneath the tape so the air can be chased out. It's what the car wrapping guys use 👍

How is the vinyl holding up now? Since we've entered the back-end of winter. I love the video Timm, and I admire your patience. It's all trial and error of course. The only thing that concerns me a bit is that the black vinyl could start to lose shine or craze after five summers. It does look rather better, though.

Loving the videos mate. Do you no much about nocking dents on the wheel arch with a hammer 🔨 I’ve got a couple that I need to get too just want to no the best way to go around it. Hank you

What's your thoughts on just using heat on the delamination section (hair dryer) to get rid of it? I have been told it works and thinking to try it out on my car, just need to make some time to try it out.

It's worth a go (but I'm not going to try!) - on the E31 the laminated elements have corroded so I would doubt that it would help - but, let me know!

You should have sprayed some soapy water, much easier to get rid of the air bubbles

tim can you not try and get some uv setting glue in the laminations ? its what they use to bond the screen onto the touch panels on phones and tablets etc and what the windscreen guys use to fix chips in the glass

The problem is getting to the edge of the glass, even if it isn't covered in mastic it is nigh-on impossible to get the seal back in even if you can get it out in one piece!
