a small difference, not sure if Core Isolation settings were enabled in W11 here as they're known to cause a very slight drop in performance but I left them on for the extra security, they're enabled by default on clean installs of 11 now (They weren't during W11's launch).

It will hinder performance like @jasonroberts8416 said and will also introduce instability in the OS. Device Security such as having the TPM on and Secure Boot are good enough. Although Secure Boot enabled also slows boot, configuration and RAM training time...I'm with Testing Games, go with Windows 10 latest version 22H2. Better Operating System. Windows 11 I've tried and not a fan.

I really want consistency between each upgrade like in osx. Microsoft should take all the good from windows 10 and improve on it. when using windows, I don't want to feel like I'm using a bad copy of osx. I also don't want to feel like i'm the product. they seem to do this though with every other iteration. windows 12 will be the upgrade from windows 10, just like windows 7 was the upgrade from windows xp, and windows 10 was the upgrade from windows 7. For a critical comparison like this, it's necessary to test it in clean install for both Windows 10 & 11 with no further tweaks (just OS and driver updates and game installation) for the most fair comparison. It's not the OS but the optimizations used in those games. Literally they hit the maximum for their engines not the OS or hardware capabilities

For me was not about 1-2 fps lost or winned, tried W11 and had a lot of trouble with it. Stuttering when dragging/resizing things, animation bugs, random crashes, games/apps refusing to launch at all. I agree it's much more pleasant visually and it has a lot of upgrades but stability it's a must over anything. I'll stay on W10 untill at least the UI it's free of bugs.

Windows 11 gets way faster updates than Windows 10 so sometimes Microsoft brings weekly updates to Windows 11 general release channel (non insider) and those updates (monthly and weekly updates are security updates) really improves Windows 11 by tons

i recently switched from w10 to w11 and hogward legacy is run awkfull on windows11, i played fine over 70h on windows10(with some minor struttering )but now my 4090/13900k can't run it on windows11 without huge strutter in hogsmeade/when flying everytime something new load, i noticed frametimes is less stable on some other game as well the only good thing about w11 is the hdr management.

Numbers don't seem to change much, framerateres differences are within margin of error, sometimes benefiting W11 other times W10, But one thing is mostly consistent in here. Windows 11 is consuming more VRAM and RAM, despite it's mostly minimal, the difference is there nonetheless.

There was one guy on youtube that tested windows 10 vs 11 after optimizing some settings on both operating systems. In his tests Windows 11 won in nearly every game. I guess perhaps Windows 11 runs more unnecessary stuff in the background that makes it lose normally.

Adding many tweaks as disabling telemetry, disabling Meltdown, removing tons of processes would make this test look very different. When you install your Windows, check in your Task Manager in CPU tab, how much processes it is running right now. Its going to be way above 200 up to 280 sometimes. While my windows runs at 80 processes.

My experience after upgrading to win 11 ( over 1 year) Frequent crashes with GSOD Sometimes the GSOD crash and goest to BSOD 💀 Some function doesn't work from time to time(sound adjustment, brightness etc) The whole wifi option gets missing Bluetooth doesn't work Sometines software doesn't start (opera, chrome , games etc) And many more Checked the hardware and had no issues it was all software glitches and happens from time to time ( frequent these days)

About 1billion users still on windows 10 says a lot of about how miserably microsoft has failed as a organization. Although the UI and icons are pretty nice but other than that its all utter non sense. Im a video editor and i cant even tell you how many times i have been frustrated due to win 11 crashing or even my game launchers not working properly. Id say if you own a processor above 12th gen go to 11 you will see best results if you are below 12 there is no need to go to 11 you will only face disappointments.

Windows 10 was a terrible operating system when I first installed it on my main computer back in 2018, day of 11 upgrading never came as I moved to Linux, but I had a laptop with windows 10 on it. Win10 worked like trash on it, till I encountered problems interfearing with my studies. Then I switched to Win11 was like 'omg look at the new shiny startmenu, and the visual beauty'. Literally 3 days later, it was already broken, wanted to run back to windows 10 immediately, but as I had no time I had to stick with it. And holy hell I'm so sorry for calling windows 10 bad, because windows 11, took it to the next level- lag everywhere, explorer crashing, updates never updating, deleting as system windows defender also broke the store and all the apps associated with it including the image viewer. Now I'm also using linux on my laptop and OMG what a hell of a difference. Never go to windows 11 just don't, when the day comes when windows 10 will stop receiving updates will be the time to move to Linux, because windows 11 is just not usable.

Just my two cents it depends on the hardware you are using, if you are using a dated CPU processor for example AMD Ryzen 3600 or older. Is best to stick with Windows 10 for better performance and stability, not to mention Windows 10 22H2 is the last build. Since Microsoft want users to move to Windows 11 while in fact unless you are using newer CPU like Intel 12th and above. Than Windows 11 is recommend since the CPU scheduler can allocate task to Intel's P or E cores. I will stick to Win 10 for my Intel 9th CPU and I myself also don't like Windows 11.

I tested and ran a combination workloads of gaming, video/audio/photo editing and such. If anything, Windows 10 offers just as good performance. Many tech sites have also showed, there's barely any differences between Windows 10 & 11 when using the latest AMD & Intel processors.

@@Zenzuu I've heard that the performance difference from the scheduler is only theoretical in very specific uncommon workloads. It's basically a gimmick Micro$oft uses to get people to migrate to 11.

But Win 11 is free. Even for pirated version version of Win 10. Unless you're talking about processors with TPM 2.0, I guess that's fair enough. With that said Rufus has a utility to bypass that entierly.
