After upgrading to 24h2 most Bluetooth devices have some issues, mouse "studdering", headphones don't work correct and Chrome + Norton don't work like before. Don't work on my computer every day so I did not see everything within the 10 days of the rollback time Microsoft gives (really to short time to find all problems, bad of Microsoft) so I will try your option number 2.

I just saw the 24H2 upgrade pop up in my updates today, my reaction was the fastest delete and NOPE to an update ever, I'm actually not going to upgrade at all , I'll keep using 23H2 and hopefully in the next year I can build another system that will be running Linux Mint , Linux Fedora or Linux Bazzite, Windows has been too much of a habitual line stepper for me to continue on with them, and Linux is getting better and better at supporting games, especially with Bazzite.

It's your choice, it might work flawlessly for you, but it can also cause problems. It's hard to tell. Ask yourself this, does version 24H2 will offer a new experience that will change your file? Can you get the work done in 23H2? If you answered yes for 1st, and no for the 2nd question, then go ahead.

It said it finished downloading and i pressed zero. After that I checked file explorer and there wasnt a file..? Im wondering if im missing a step or if something is wrong on my end

Check the folder size to make sure that no ISO file has been created. If it has several GBs, the file is somewhere in there. Otherwise, delete the folder containing the scripts, and then extract the scripts and start over.

If you have a fast PC, 10 to 20 minutes. If you have a slow PC, then it will take longer. A lot of things can cause the install to take longer

Yes, option 1. You will only loose the apps and settings after the original upgrade.
