This can prevent you from making changes to your desktop. Also try right-clicking on the app's executable and selecting "Run as administrator." Antivirus or Security Software Interference: Some antivirus or security software can interfere with shortcut creation. Disable it temporarily and try again. Desktop Background Themes: Certain desktop themes or personalization settings might prevent shortcuts from being placed. Try switching to a different theme. Corrupted Desktop Database: Recreate Desktop Database by Open File Explorer.> In the address bar, type shell:desktop.> Right-click on an empty space and select "Properties".>Go to the Customize tab. Click on Reset Defaults.> Click Apply and OK. This can help you to fix the issue.😊

nanachan5896 Bro, Yes, you can drag desktop icons freely on Windows Desktop. But for it to work, you need to disable auto-arrange desktop icons. Simply right-click on an empty area of your desktop then check the "Auto arrange icons" option. And you should be good to go.😊

I've got some issues. I used to be able to put apps on my desktop, but then randomly they all got removed.
