Putting such data on every computer is a call for creating new sniffers to recolect that data and make extorsions much, much easier. Time to time, i can imagine a lot of 'malware' creators wanting to recollect that data, not only as a 'bet', also for getting money in illegal ways.
Interesting. How, specifically do you know it will have "massive performance impacts" to take a screenshot every few seconds? Also, what is the rate at which it writes data to the SSD? A 4k screenshot in the highest-quality, file size for the snipping tool is 92 KB. If we round that to 100KB, you could do, *checks notes* 40 billion screenshots on a below-average SSD lifespan. (Around 400TBW [TBW values for SSDs are only for warranty and are not indicative of the actual write endurance of the drive. Only a JEDEC write endurance test can show that]). IF it took one every second, it would "burn out" (whatever that means, I don't speak in gibberish, pseudo-computer literacy) an SSD in 30,441 days.

92 KB is quite low for a 4k screenshot. Uncompressed and 24 bit, that's 23.7 MB, which is 264x larger. It could probably be severely compressed and still readable. Or maybe by "screenshot" they mean just the extracted text and relevant features. Sometimes a word is worth a thousand pictures.

Wrong mete. Ppl are testing recall and it works on any CPU. AI or not. The Recall ready thing is just marketing. Microsoft won't pass the chance of spying on everyone. And hackers will have a field day. Recall save the info on a simple super small text database in your app data local low and any Trojan can take the file and read it. And it's super small like 10 days of info equals 90kbs. Just saying this is the moment to do sensitive info on a Linux and use windows only for super case soecific stuff such as gaming release games or non steam games. I'm already getting used to Linux mint and I was able to install work software in it already too. Paid ones from windows.

Question. Will Onedrive automatically "back up" this data? Because MS takes every opportunity to steal my data when I tell it to go away. If they include it in Onedrive backup, they basically have access to everything you have done. Verbatim. And we all know how trustworthy they are.

Everyone loved how speedy Chrome browser was when it first appeared. Almost nobody noticed that it was because your browser was just a remote window on Google's servers. Their hardware did the work, your PC only had to display some graphics... In other words, Chrome had access to every letter you typed, every password, your banking details, every web page you viewed, etc. MS' Recall is just MS being ten years late to the party - and important NOW because of AI training (MS' true intention, no doubt). But, announced in such a bad way, that everyone is up in arms about it.
