I have to admit. Between many channels on YT I watch, you are the most inspiring! The way you engineer solutions, solve the problems, cut metal and make it work for you, is INSANE GOOD! And your videos are perfectly tuned. No mudding, no long bothering speech bullshit. All to the point, super hero you are Austin. I want to be like you…. OK never will, but maybe 30-50%?

I still can’t believe you do all this by yourself, man. It really makes me question these other KZbinrs who don’t get much done because they need help. I remember when you first got the FJ and I thought to myself there ain’t no way this is salvageable. You did it bro. It looks amazing! With the battery there, is the front right tire gonna hit it when the tire is stuffed and you turn at all?

Awesome work as usual. You might have to close in the corners to your shroud to the radiator for added air pull later if she run hot. Like the way that battery box was over built. It’s not going anywhere. Congrats on getting the windows in. I know you’ll sleep better knowing they’re done.
@NotaThunderbird697 ай бұрын
Looks insane and quality is top notch, just definitely see how that fan setup does, usually you want the fan shroud to cover the whole surface area of the radiator (fins), and adding a small gasket around that surface is ideal, that way it can really pull air through it almost like a vacuum, you really notice it on track cars, but hey if it doesn’t get hot then there’s no issue, thanks for the content

For the wipers on my '73 FJ40, I grabbed a set of wiper arms from a junkyard jeep, cut the hook ends off of them and welded them to my FJ40 wipers. Easy mod, and now I can use modern wipers from any autoparts store. Also, for the window rubbers, they're still available from Toyota. The OEM ones fit soooooo much better.

im not a jeep guy but i am really loving this build, from the attention to detail to the fabrication, to the admiting when you're like "idk what im doing but lets tackle this issue and if it doesnt work well try something else" I have a feeling that when this build is done itll be done done and not "youtube done" and thats part of what makes me really like it..... got me sitting here thinking about wanting a jeep and all i want is an awd hatchback so ima look into getting a golf R later this year

you could always run the battery from inside the cab. might take a little more work but free up a lot of space.
@SeanFinland7 ай бұрын
Yeah a lot of cars had the battery in the back or under the back seat. There's good and bad but it's an option. I love your work and the channel. Been watching for a long time.

i have a suggestion, if you can't get the battery box to fit in the engine bay. you could always relocate it to inside the cab.

Are you going to build front wheel liners to help prevent throwing debris into your engine bay? Btw, KZbin needs to pronote your channel to anyone that watches vehicle or fabrication channels. Hope you see 1,000,000 subs soon. You deserve it!!!
