would you be able to use the same kit but on a 1st gen toyota sequoia?
@ColexKi Жыл бұрын
I'm humble enough to admit this as man I don't know much about cars because I never had anyone to teach me(fatherless) (Grew up with all females) and (helicopter parents that lowkey hate men) Most of the friends I had with dads willing to teach me moved away😅 I always wanted a nice lifted truck and I see videos like this that I enjoy but they make me feel broke and mechanically illiterate😂 Any recommendations to make more money to afford this maybe one day I'll get there Nice video.

Yeah man try to set goals and the most important one is buy an used but good old truck. Old nissan frontiers are a great option and the second gen tacomas are a must (first gens are overpriced nowadays). Make more money helping neighbors with their landscape, dog walking, donate plasma, and save the extra money in a savings account or anywhere you dont reach easily lol If you have online or computer skills you can make extra $ easily. After buying your first truck you can slowly start to make custom mods nowadays its lightyears easier than it was before the internet. Im pretty sure if you set your dreams as goals you can reach em And please come back to show us the results

With all that work, why not swap in a V8 too? The 2UR-GSE or 3UR-FE would be awesome, or even the 2UZ if you wanted something that would fit better
@DirtGarage3 ай бұрын
Eh, I have a V8 1UZ swapped Toyota already. The 1GR is a great motor, and I'm not gonna touch it until she lets go!
@ericsea7783Ай бұрын
Love the outcome! Apologies if this seems rude, but I do have a question: with all the time and money spent on this rig, is there a reason the engine was left alone? I know the new gearing helps, but we all know Toyota V6s are very doggish. I'm not a Yota buff, but I'd imagine throwing in an LS or Toyota V8 would be better suited for the desired goals with that tire size. I've seen dudes throw blowers on them, but spending $8k for 60hp-80hp is ridiculously inefficient. Simply curious! Thank you
@DirtGarageАй бұрын
@ericsea7783 Because I already have a V8 swapped Toyota. The 4L V6 in this has plenty of jam, with re gear still cruises uphill on highway without gearing down. Helps that this truck was tuned to help with low end torque.

What an awesome build. You definitely built a beast. My question is why didn't you box the rear frame for more added strength?
@DirtGarage Жыл бұрын
I don't really feel the need. Frame doesent seem to twist much, even completely flexed out the tailgate and doors open flawless. I'd rather keep it open so its easy to clean and keep mud out to prevent rust.
