You mean install steam launcher? Yeah you need it running for the track pad to work. Otherwise with windows it's just like a tiny laptop with no keyboard

Well there aren't any steam deck games. But you need steam launcher to play games you bought on steam. It's just a computer that plays computer games

Hello. I have a small problem with windows in Steam Deck and maybe you have been able to solve it. With the Steam Deck connected to a 4k TV via the official dock, KZbin videos play in 16:10 on the TV. Do you know how to solve this problem? (of course the resolution set in windows is appropriate for the TV, everything looks perfect except for the two black bars on the sides of the videos on youtube)

Maybe you have to make the TV the main display. If you just do extended display it probably keeps the 16:10 ratio of the steam deck screen

I have got a 16:9 monitor and the problem does not appear. It's something from the TV driver.

If I set the TV to a lower resolution such as 3840 x 2160 instead of the TV's maximum resolution of 4096 x 2160 the problem disappears. I guess it will be a problem with the cheap Chinese television that I have.

Oh that's a 16:10 resolution. 3840x2160 is 16:9 4k

Nah I don't bother activating windows. You can find a key for around 20 bucks though. Try kinguin.com
