Jascu Alex - ScarXL I like windows, but tbh mac doesn't have as many viruses written for it. hardware on both is about the same. some things on Mac don't work on PC (and vice-versa), Such as ROLI's Equator sound engine not working on Windows. it comes down to what you use it for, just like How PS4 is more toward competitive gamers, and XBox is more focused towards casual gamers

Just remember one thing: If you use the update function from Win7/Win8/Win8.1/Win10 just let it run if it shows 0%. Windows is installing updates in that time, it just wont show the correct percentage. And keep in mind that windows updates (200updates or more) may need more than 5 hours to complete

I ran windows 7 beta as soon as it came out and it ran fantastically although Vista did run pretty well on laptops and it was a decent OS perhaps not for people upgrading. the fully out of the box machines and a year later that graphics and sound drivers were updated and by the time 7 came out everything was ironed out I honestly loved the look amazing .

Maybe (well actually I could guarantee) reinstalling the Bootcamp drivers for Vista would have allowed you to run FMV on the Hotwheels game. You didn't give Vista a fighting chance. I don't understand why so many people hate it, Vista was very good looking, but really it was XP with the design of 7. XP was great, 7 was great, 8 and 8.1 were different, sometimes great, and 10 is great. Major Windows releases have all been fine since XP.

1:05:35, even on a fairly newer laptop (Lenovo Ideapad 310 15-IKB) it takes longer than that to boot up and I clean Windows temp regularly. Windows 10 is just flipping slow, compare that to a HP Stream 11 Windows 8.1 laptop which takes like 20 seconds to start up (probably less, about 3 seconds on the HP logo then 4/5 seconds to put in the password then another 4 to get to the desktop). Just shows you how terrible Windows 10 is.

There's something to be said about older versions of Windows for sure. I had a game that ran very well under Windows Vista, ran slightly worse on 7 (a part was unplayable in 7 that wasn't in Vista), and the frame rate went to crap when I upgraded to 8. There's also a different game I play that runs great on Windows 95, but is awful under Windows 10.

Windows 7 is probably the best choice for this computer. Also it's possible to go all the way to DOS to 10. You have to type the win command to launch Windows 10 if you do that.

My opinions on each Windows version. ( My Version ) Windows XP - Very good, Fast, but old and shitty graphics. Out of trend. Windows Vista - I say it's in the middle of good and bad Windows 7 - Best Windows released out there, Best graphics [Aero Theme or Transparency], best performance. Windows 8 - Things get worse. Flat Design Windows. Worst thing on W8 is that the Start button dissapeared. Pretty fast though. Windows 8.1 - Not too much difference. Windows 10 - Everything free does not have big quality. A Windows 8 with Cortana. Pretty trash. These are my opinions!!

I think the Gpu is used more intense on Windows 10 than with the older versions. You probably have to turn Dow the resolution a little bit and turn on anti aliasing to get some of the detail back. Probably much more smooth

For older DX games like Hotwheels you will probably need to use dege.freeweb.hu/dgVoodoo2.html to emulate the older 3d api calls. I've done this a lot and it works great. Basically unzip the dlls and stuff to the executable folder of the game and try to run it again. Also it kind of looks like the video drivers weren't installed.
