If you leave the release liner intact instead of cutting it off, the water rolls down away instead of dripping onto the door panel. That reduces water by 30% dripping onto door panels. Also, your hard roll-up causes the edge of the tint to crease. As well, it wouldn't hurt to show how you prepped the top of the door gasket to prevent contaminants from drawing back from fingers and dust flicking back onto the exposed glass.. I'm a commercial building & residential building window tinter and ,thanks to your video, was able to quickly adjust to the difference in installation in building vs automobile. Thanks alot! I used some leftover 3M NV-15 to tint my side windows.... not exactly sure about the legality of this tint on vehicles however it does look quite nice. Thanks for the informational video!

All of the cars that I had tinted the guy done it on the inside of the windows, he was from Florida where he had a window tint company this was back in the later 80s and he done a dam good job. But back then not many people done window tinting

Hey. The white dots could be blemishes or little pieces of dirt in the tint. You just have to heat the outside of the glass and use a card ( like the pink lil chisler as shown in the video) and work it out

IF you are creased the bottom left corner. Then try not to flip the bottom up when you clean the bottom. When I first started tinting I use to crease the bottom all the time from fllipping the bottom of the tint up.

This was my personal vehicle at the time. You simply wipe the panel off after installation then clean with interior detail spray. The water does nothing to damage the panel.

If a door panel cant take this amount of water than forget about opening the door when its raining or snowing. Electrics in the door, window switches, door locks, and even speakers are somewhat waterproof. Even the door panels are manufactured to be somewhat waterproof. Doesnt mean next time at the car wash open the doors to blast them clean tho. A simple cleaning when done people would never know if not seen by standing there or video.

This is defamation in the form of libel. The Platinum Window Film company takes immense pride in both their work and their respect for the vehicles to which the work is being done. They are as good as you get in application of auto window tint and paint protection film. Upon completion of work, their specialists use detailing supplies to clean and treat the areas of the car exposed to the liquid solutions used for mounting and adjustment of the tint. To imply that they don't care about their client's cars is both inaccurate and abhorrent.

Rainy weater when you seats the car its takes max 3 sec and closing the door. And sorry, maybe i wrong, but i never spray my interieur with water. Rain water its inaf for this 3 sec.

You use the heat gun to shrink the tint in order for the tint to fit the inside of the glass appropriately? I ask to understand why you use the heat gun. Other wise the tint won't fit on the inside of the glass? Thank you for explaining the process in detail. So heating the tint with the heat gun helps to remove the air bubbles under neither the tint and shrinks the tint to fit the window?

Hey Dan, I found the guy that is making the too short patterns on my program, why did you shift the film up before cutting top edge? Don't cut on the car!!!! Bring the film up a little more when shrinking to avoid burning gasket. And don't cut your liner (provides a little protection on panel from water and gives you something to grab without folding the film up. Other than that he's got it

Love the work man. What type of tint do you use? I have always been a Llumar fan. One concern I have about getting my car tinted is the possibility of the solution staining my interior.. What's your opinion on that? Keep posting the vids, very informative.

I typically stick with solar gard or suntek. The solution won't stain your interior at all. It may leave drip marks if you have armor all on the panel but trust me it will go away. To make it go away faster just wipe the panel down with some interior cleaner and they come right off.

I wasted 25 bucks precut tint and I followed every step and the tint would not go well and would not go into the gasket corner.... I threw the whole tint away cause I use all 6 tint and came out horrible. I'm not sure if it was too hot but I had a shop fan and I use alot of soapy water and it kept drying on me pretty fast as much as I soaked my window and tint.

You typically don't need to remove door panels on any car; removing the door panel just make installation much easier for beginners. any time you are tinting a door when you are not removing the panel you should always shrink the film on the outside. The reason you do this is so that when you install the film and lay it under the gasket as seen in this video you will not have any fingers or any large fingers.

Use sharpie in the edges like if you were gonna cut it and then just cut the bottom and the top then remove the tint and cut the edges with the line of the sharpie
