La Jolla is a hilly, seaside neighborhood within the city of San Diego, California, occupying 7 miles of curving coastline along the Pacific Ocean within the northern city limits. La Jolla is surrounded on three sides by ocean bluffs and beaches and is located 12 miles north of Downtown San Diego and 45 miles south of Orange County.
Beaches and ocean access include Windansea Beach, La Jolla Shores, La Jolla Cove and Children's Pool Beach. For many years, La Jolla has been the host of a rough water swim at La Jolla Cove.
La Jolla Cove is a small, picturesque cove and beach that is surrounded by cliffs in La Jolla, San Diego, California. The Cove is protected as part of a marine reserve; underwater it is very rich in marine life, and is popular with snorkelers, swimmers and scuba divers.
California sea lions can be found in the waters of the Cove and hauling out, temporarily leaving the water to rest on its beaches, cliffs, and bluffs. Up on the bluffs above the beach, and stretching south to other nearby beaches, including Shell Beach and Children's Pool Beach, is Scripps Park, a well-maintained grassy area with trees and other plantings. Scripps Park is used for picnicking and relaxing.

I used to live in SD back in the good ol' days with my family. I was 5 years old (I'm now 39 years old) since then we have always gone back to SD, on our summer vacation. I love the seals there! You don't see them everywhere! So unique! I needed this peace and sun on a Saturday afternoon! We won't see sun again until late May or early June. I am sitting here with the space heater on and my feet on the heating pad! It is beautiful and sunny there! Brings back great memories!

San Diego is one of the prettiest places i have ever been to, i was just there i did this same walk as well on May 20, 2021. My wife and i enjoyed it so much. After the walk we ate at an Asian Cuisine, right up the hill, the food was great and inexpensive, the the service was great as well. I would definitely go eat there again. I have to go back someday. I went there from San Antonio, TX.

Lived in La Jolla in the late 60's and early 70's (across from Bishops and then up the street from Unicorn Cinema, Mithras Books....beautiful beaches, cliffs, quiet neighborhoods back then, Dragon art colony, little restaurants, be-ins in the park-hahaha...Sunday mornings on Girard was quiet! But the only thing constant is change...Very nice video, super HD...nice to see the old place

Besides the beauty, imagine perfect weather all year round. Mild 60s in the winter and perfect 70s in the summer. The ocean current gives San Diego (especially La Jolla) the best weather in the entire world. Never too hot or too cold.
