For being big town lots of out of state and nations overseas it's fairly safe city. Like all big cities if mix with wrong crowds or are doing drugs bad there is more trouble than if you do not mess with drugs at all As tourist when I had to sleep out on streets no body try to roll me an I had lots of suit cases

As someone who lives here, you did an amazing job of making this place seem 20 times nicer than it is. I should save this video for when I want to sell my place 😆

The video makes downtown Long Beach look incredible. Funny, if you walk a couple of blocks in either direction, you will have terrible neighborhoods with a lot of gang problems.
@truthseeker63772 жыл бұрын
@@norberthofer5830 Exactly. But even more than that, right on Shoreline Blvd, multiple people have been shot and attacked, the whole area was ransacked during the BLM insurrection, the local councilwoman was chased by a tweaker with a knife at the Performing Arts waterfalls... and on and on. The park with the big penny is 2 weeks old. I wonder if it will hold, or turn out like all the other similar projects that go to hell, with tweakers and gang-members overrunning them into huge eyesores. Either way, the author here chose the perfect route, and I sincerely give him/her credit for an awesome video. In an alternate universe, this would be the Long Beach that I'd hope for.
@norberthofer58302 жыл бұрын
@@truthseeker6377 At night, I wont go north of Cherry. Seems like there are more crazy homeless people south of downtown. The people running Long Beach want downtown to look nice by where there offices are and don't want to deal with the homeless and keep the tourists happy. Its all about optics. Most of Long Beach is a true shxthole but they spent a lot of $$$ on downtown to make it all flashy looking. I see crazies running around in the middle of the street intersections everyday yelling at the sky. The trash of the homeless is all over the place. I wonder where all the Federal funds are going to, that are supposed to deal with this homeless crissis. It sure isn't getting any better. Someone is getting rich.

@@beth6252 I have considered moving to other places, after living here since 77. The culture and society here has gone so dystopian that I often question my own sanity, and/or if this is a simulation. So Cal weather is the main thing that has made me soft/spoiled. When I look at the weather in TN, Carolinas, FL, Idaho, Vegas, etc, I realize how important it is. To be able to go outside 95% of the year in just shorts and tank top and get sun and Vitamin D is a pretty huge blessing. Anyways I realize every place has it's pluses and minuses, but this is truly one of the capitals of UpsideDown World, and I'm weighing my options every day. Which again brings me back to this beautiful video and it pisses me off, because I realize just how nice things could be. sigh

This isn't the real LONG BEACH. HA! its the water. Long beach is infested with poverty, homelessness, and people who have bipolar disorders. I've been here 15 yrs and for the most part im happy but long beach needs alot of work. I.E pavement, schooling, and a slu of other essentials. Not more high rises that cost 7000$ a month to live in. Totally unrealistic!
@katrachosps2 жыл бұрын
Leave then, go back to your paradise wherever that is, if it's so bad to you, every major city has its social issues, that's life, maybe Laguna Beach is more suitable for you, oh wait you think 7,000 a month is a lot.

Only bad thing if you do not have money or spend it all you can not hang out at Greyhound bus station they do not let you security runs you out so I had to sleep out on streets one nite last time out there no credit card to charge room but had round trip bus to Ohio my town But night before my bus home had to stay out on streets all night that not fun not far from this area in long Beach by my church on 1000 pine Ave so no cops even stop to help only seen couple but they were going other place so I had luggage too had to sleep out on streets not fun till next day
